The Conspiracy Against Trump, by Philip Giraldi – The Unz Review

April 25, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The real “deplorable” in today’s United States is the continuation of a foreign policy based on endless aggression to maintain Washington’s military dominance in parts of the world where Americans have no conceivable interest. Many voters backed Donald J. Trump because he committed himself to changing all that, but, unfortunately, he has reneged on his promise, instead heightening tension with major powers Russia and China while also threatening Iran and Venezuela on an almost daily basis. Now Cuba is in the crosshairs because it is allegedly assisting Venezuela. One might reasonably ask if America in its seemingly enduring role as the world’s most feared bully will ever cease and desist, but the more practical question might be “When will the psychopathic trio of John Bolton, Mike Pompeo and Elliott Abrams be fired so the United States can begin to behave like a normal nation?”

Trump, to be sure, is the heart of the problem as he has consistently made bad, overly belligerent decisions when better and less abrasive options were available, something that should not necessarily always be blamed on his poor choice of advisers. But one also should not discount the likelihood that the dysfunction in Trump is in part comprehensible, stemming from his belief that he has numerous powerful enemies who have been out do destroy him since before he was nominated as the GOP’s presidential candidate. This hatred of all things Trump has been manifested in the neoconservative “Nevertrump” forces led by Bill Kristol and by the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” prominent on the political left, regularly exhibited by Rachel Maddow.

Sri Lanka’s Easter Terror Bombings: Troubling Questions, Looking Beneath the Surface William F. Jasper

April 25, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Another massive terrorist atrocity, and another massive intelligence failure? Why so many troubling, unanswered questions? Why were warnings ignored? Who allowed it to happen? Who are the terrorist bombers: Islamists, communists, socialists, foreign intel operatives, all of the above? Is there a larger agenda beneath the surface? Is the rushed narrative of “Islamist extremists” a little too convenient?

Almost immediately following the deadly terrorist bombings of Christian Churches and tourist hotels on April 21, Easter Sunday, Sri Lankan officials named members of a little-known radical Islamist organization as the perpetrators. The rapid fingering of National Thowheed Jamath as the group responsible seems to be remarkably too convenient and leaves unanswered a host of troubling questions that we should not allow to be dismissed.

According to government spokesmen and various early news reports, Sri Lankan intelligence officials had detailed information — including the names of individual terrorists — about multiple pending terrorist attacks on Easter against Catholic churches and other targets more than two weeks prior to the actual attacks. Why was no action taken? Did the intelligence chief withhold the information from the president and prime minister? Did the president and/or prime minister ignore the warnings?

Land Destroyer: NATO at 70: Retirement or Renaissance?

April 25, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

US Vice President Mike Pence has recently referred to NATO as, “the most successful military alliance in the history of the world.” Of course, “success” needs to be defined, especially when casual observers note the trail of death and destruction left in NATO’s wake from Eastern Europe to North Africa to the Middle East to Central Asia over the last several decades.

For the casual observer, the NATO-linked Atlantic Council would attempt to offer a (very) short list of “NATO’s accomplishments in recent years.” The article was published in 2013, and time has not been kind to this list.

In a global order predicated on “might makes right,” NATO’s leading members find themselves no longer mightiest. Just as they swept aside entire nations over past decades, they themselves now face being swept aside by a growing tide of opposition to what NATO really stands for and the measures of “success” it truly uses to justify its continued existence.

New CN Series: The Revelations of WikiLeaks: No. 1—The Video that Put Assange in US Crosshairs – Consortiumnews – Elizabeth Vos

April 24, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

WikiLeaks was founded in 2006, but it was the April 5, 2010, publication of “Collateral Murder” that made the whistleblower-publisher a world-wide phenomenon, attracting admirers and enemies.

WikiLeaks wrote of the film: “The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-sight, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.”

WikiLeaks noted that Reuters had unsuccessfully attempted to gain access to the video through the Freedom of Information Act in the years after the strike.

The day after the release of the footage, The New York Times described WikiLeaks as a once-fringe website that had moved into the big time. “The site has become a thorn in the side of authorities in the United States and abroad,” it said. “With the Iraq attack video, the clearinghouse for sensitive documents is edging closer toward a form of investigative journalism and to advocacy.”

As big a problem Rep. Ilhan Omar is for JewsIsrael and the Democratic Party, she is the face of a much bigger problem for the historic American nation: immigrants, or their children, from what it is now apparently Politically Incorrect to call the Third World being elected to Congress.

Granted, the proximate target of the Muslim Somali refugee’sire is Israel. “It’s all about the Benjamins,” the Koranically-sworn congresswoman famously tweeted. “I am told everyday that I am anti-American if I am not pro-Israel,” she answered when a Jewish Democrat called out her “anti-Semitism.”

And, granted, the Democrats, particularly open-borders Jewish Democrats, are getting what they deserve. In a party where the sine qua non of success is unqualified support for Israel, top leaders don’t know what to do about Omar, whom they merrily invited to join their subversion.

Trump Dances to Israel’s Tune, by Philip Giraldi – The Unz Review

April 17, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

So newly reelected Israeli monster-in-chief Benjamin Netanyahu has boasted, with a grin, that America’s President Donald J. Trump followed through on his proposal to declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist group. Bibi was smiling because the timing of the move, one day before the Israeli election, strongly suggests it was done to assist him against what had become a very strong opposition challenge. That Trump likely colluded with Netanyahu to blatantly interfere in the election has apparently bothered no one in Israel or in the tame American media.

The gift from Washington came on top of recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, threatening members of the International Criminal Court if they try to prosecute Israel for war crimes, moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, removing the word “occupation” from the State Department’s assessments of human rights infringements on the West Bank, eliminating relief funding for Palestinian refugees, leaving the U.N. Human Rights Council because it was too critical of Israel, and looking the other way as Israel declared itself a state only for Jews. Washington also ignored the bombing of hospitals, schools and water treatment infrastructure in Gaza while Israeli army snipers were shooting unarmed demonstrators demanding their freedom.

AIPAC and the Federal Election Commission | Intrepid – Renee Parsons

April 17, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Reviewing AIPAC’s history since its 1963 creation reveals a consistently well organized campaign of manipulation and evasion of the US election law as one necessary ingredient to its invincible image on Capitol Hill. The American Israel Political Affairs Committee has long claimed it is not a political action committee, that it does not endorse candidates nor provide financial donations to political campaigns. As with all things involving AIPAC, there is another side to the story.

As the result of a 1988 Sixty Minutes interview by Mike Wallace, it became clear that AIPAC had a long history of involvement in US electoral politics as it targeted non-AIPAC members of  Congress for defeat with the use of “80 shell-front pro-Israel PACs.” Unfortunately, Wallace never inquired whether AIPAC was in compliance with the Federal Election Commission laws. It comes as no surprise to know it was not and continues to resist efforts at accountability or adhering to the standard rule of registering as a foreign entity.

Punishing the Past, Impeding the Future: the Arrest of Assange – Counter Punch – GIORGIO AGAMBEN

April 15, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

I met Assange two years ago at the Embassy of Ecuador in London, and remembering what he had told me during our encounter I think one can understand why he was arrested today. Assange mentioned to me that he was investigating how Google was planning to make use of the immense quantity of information at its disposal. It had to do with, according to Assange, selling to insurance companies and secret services data about the interests, desires, consumption habits, state of health, reading practices…in a nutshell data about the life of millions of individuals in all its aspects.

According to Assange—and I believe we can share his view—this would mean an unprecedented increase in the possible ways of controlling human beings through the powers of the market and the police. What is at the core of Assange’s arrest is, therefore, not only the desire to punish past WikiLeaks investigations, but to impede investigations currently underway that evidently all those implicated seem to be threatened by. It is also for this reason that it is necessary to express unreserved solidarity with Assange.

Guess who killed our freedom of speech? – John Kaminski

April 15, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Once upon a time, U.S. politicians use to brag about how America was the only place in the world that permitted genuine freedom of speech. Of course, like everything else they say, that turned out to be a lie. Perhaps it is the greatest lie we have ever heard in our lifetimes.

In fact, America has traded its Constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech for laws protecting the very people aiming to destroy the country.

We’ve lost our First Amendment, you know? Yes, that’s the one that claims to protect our Freedom of Speech. Hell, most Americans don’t know or care whether it exists or not, but the implications for everyone are ominous. Already in Michigan lawmakers are making of list of people who oppose government lies. The Assange arrest is a warning from history | Intrepid – John Pilger

April 15, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The shocking arrest of Assange carries a warning for all who, as Oscar Wilde wrote, “sow the seeds of discontent [without which] there would be no advance towards civilisation”. The warning is explicit towards journalists. What happened to the founder and editor of WikiLeaks can happen to you on a newspaper, you in a TV studio, you on radio, you running a podcast.

Assange’s principal media tormentor, the Guardian, a collaborator with the secret state, displayed its nervousness this week with an editorial that scaled new weasel heights. The Guardian has exploited the work of Assange and WikiLeaks in what its previous editor called “the greatest scoop of the last 30 years”. The paper creamed off WikiLeaks’ revelations and claimed the accolades and riches that came with them.

Already Deep in the Politics of Hate | Patrick J. Buchanan – Official Website

April 9, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

If this is the level of discourse from Beto and Bernie, 2020 looks to be one of the ugliest campaigns in American history.

During an Iowa town hall last week, “Beto” O’Rourke, who had pledged to raise the level of national discourse, depicted President Donald Trump’s rhetoric as right out of Nazi Germany.

Trump “describes immigrants as ‘rapists’ and ‘criminals’” and as “‘animals’ and ‘an infestation,’” said Beto.

“Now, I might expect someone to describe another human being as ‘an infestation’ in the Third Reich. I would not expect it in the United States of America.” The crowd lustily cheered the analogy.

Is Assange a Journalist? – Consortiumnews – Caitlin Johnstone

April 8, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

As discussed Saturday, whenever Julian Assange is in the news and people are defending him you always see a bunch of hyper-emotional empire loyalists running around online trying to manage the narrative about him. One of the most common talking points which comes up is that Assange is “not a journalist”.

The reason this talking point comes up, of course, is because the WikiLeaks founder is besieged by powerful forces who are attempting to imprison him for publishing inconvenient facts about them, and his defenders often voice their concerns about what this means for the future of press freedoms. The completely baseless claim that Assange is “not a journalist” is used in an attempt to defuse the argument that his prosecution by the U.S. government could lead to the same fate for any news media outlet which publishes leaks on the US government anywhere in the world. If he’s not a journalist, then his prosecution sets no precedent for real journalists.

The Real SPLC – American Free Press – John Friend

April 8, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The infamous Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) —also known as “Hate Inc.,” is one of the most powerful radical left-wing activist organizations in America. Today, however, it finds itself in total chaos due to events that have transpired in recent weeks. Morris Dees, the SPLC’s infamous co-founder and leader for decades, was fired by the organization and several other high-profile executives have now resigned.

On March 13, the SPLC, which masquerades as a civil rights group, announced that it had fired Dees, as this newspaper recently reported. Few specific details have emerged regarding the subversive, anti-America organization’s decision to sack Dees. Top officials have said merely he was let go for “misconduct.” Ten days later, SPLC’s president, Richard Cohen, who was regularly consulted by various mainstream media outlets as an expert on “hate,” announced he was resigning.

“After more than 30 years at the Southern Poverty Law Center, I’ve decided to step down,” Cohen announced in a statement released on March 23. “Other legacy civil rights organizations have transitioned to a new generation of leaders, and I believe that we should, too.”

Solzhenitsyn, Again DOES ANYONE HEAR HIM?| VERIGOSPEL – Al Cronkrite

April 5, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

In a speech at Harvard University in 1978 Alexandre Solzhenitsyn to the dismay of many American stuffed-shirt, political patriots bewailed the self-centered condition of the United States of America and its people.  Pseudo-Christian former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Roslyn publically berated the speech.  Others considered it impolite and lacking in gratitude toward a nation that had granted him asylum.  To our detriment the accuracy of the speech was never properly considered.

Solzhenitsyn blamed a lack of civil courage as a key problem.   This dearth of civil courage is glaringly evident in the supine response of the people to the ever encroaching tyranny of government.

The heresy of Humanism has contributed to the self-centeredness of Americans and most of Western civilization.  Risking lives in a pursuit of truth and freedom is anachronistic and to the coming generation of Americans, Patrick Henry’s vow to “Give me liberty or give me death” seems a bit foolish.

Godlessness is reality in America.  The Russian people have lived through the terror ridden results of a godless government;  Americans have escaped but just now are beginning to feel its claws.

Desperation in US over failure to topple Maduro | Intrepid – Stephen Lendman

April 4, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

So far, every Trump regime tactic used to try toppling Maduro and eliminate Venezuelan social democracy failed.

Scripted by his US handlers, Guaido’s January 23 self-declaration as interim Venezuelan president failed to gain popular support. It’s mostly coming from well-off individuals and business interests, Maduro backed by his base in the barrios.

The Trump regime’s February 23 false flag failed—its trojan horse “humanitarian aid” PR stunt falling flat, failing to get Venezuelan military support as hoped for.

The aim of Trump hardliners to get worldwide support for the coup plot fell woefully short. It’s backed almost entirely by regional and EU imperial partners—vassal states acting as US colonies. Three-fourths of the world community and the UN oppose the scheme.

The most troubling element of the To Kill a Mockingbird phenomenon is how the book — published by J. B. Lippincott & Co. (self-righteous idiot Quakers from Philadelphia) — became required reading in most American High Schools, and the film is still being re-run on cable TV. That silly old gorgon (a $10 word for a repulsive hag) amassed a massive fortune peddling her stereotypical anti-southerner commie-crap. As a result, many of Lee’s captive White readers, or movie / TV viewers have grown up with a pathetic and suicidal guilt complex. And we can only guess how many Black readers or viewers grew up with a reinforced hatred of “the White man.”

To the extent that books and films such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Roots, The Green Mile etc create a climate of general hatred against Whites, particularly Southerners, can it not be said that Lee, much like the “Reverend” Jesse Jerkoff, the “Reverend” Al Charlatan, and Mr. & Mr. Obongo (prefix not a typo), are directly responsible for murderous violence toward innocent White people? Incitement, no matter how subtle, equals death; and To Kill a Mockingbird always was, still is, and always will be an incendiary piece of literature and cinema, as well as a piece of something else we will not mention.

British parliament is now worse than a joke. And they have no one to blame but themselves.

As I watch the desperation of these people, obviously loyal to the European Union first and their constituents a distant fourth or fifth – after themselves, their party and any corporate lobbyists – it’s clear they don’t have any clue as to how to get out of the mess they’ve made for themselves.

Yesterday the British parliament again took over the business from the government and again was incapable of providing any direction to that government as to what kind or type of Brexit would be acceptable.

Mike Shedlock has a good run-down of the votes themselves if you are interested in what terminal virtue-signaling looks like. Mike thinks:

America’s Europeans — Europeans everywhere — are experiencing massive displacement by swelling non-White populations, a shift that threatens to make our political and cultural landscapes unrecognizable in the near future. As this happens, public discourse has been reinvented to accommodate the visible changes in our societies. Let us start by examining just a few examples:

  • Demands for redistributions of wealth are now increasingly presented as being reasonable and inevitable; the imported poor must be fed and subsidized.
  • The historical narratives of Western nations are increasingly rewritten to include non-Whites, even if the rewrites are historically inaccurate.
  • The rare acts of violence committed by Whites against non-Whites are extensively examined for any hints that they are “hate crimes,” while vastly more numerous incidences of violence by non-Whites against Whites are generally dismissed being merely criminal in intent.
  • Institutional discrimination against non-Whites is intensely denounced as being unthinkable, while the legalized discrimination routinely directed at Whites in job hires, promotions, and college placements is either ignored or applauded as necessary.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson contended that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi successfully changed the coverage agenda at CNN from the Mueller report to health care.

Carlson opened Wednesday night’s edition of his show with a “story about collusion, actual collusion that’s currently” taking place “in the open on live television.”
