A Half Century of Amnesia – Taki’s Magazine

Back during the protracted recount following the 2000 Bush-Gore election, I offered a subversive bit of advice in a VDARE article entitled: “GOP Future Depends on Winning Larger Share of the White Vote.”

Bush’s boy-genius strategist Karl Rove had achieved acclaim by declaring that the only hope for the Republican Party to cope with changing demographics was in enticing Hispanic voters by encouraging even more immigration. Sure, the GOP would lose on each immigrant vote cast, but would make up for it on volume. Or something.

Likelihood of Organized Disruption at GOP Convention

May 6, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

The anticipated and long awaited political theater of the political conventions is upon us. The Republican gala has special expectation. “The Donald” will make a real show out of this high tension wire walk across the political divide of GOP careerist party stalwarts. Those populist upstart activists that raise the participation impact of new primary voters are invading the clandestine chambers of the privileged establishment. The never Trump movement will have their last gasp, but the surreptitious NeoCon insiders will not go away. Their covert choice is still Hillary Clinton.

Is the GOP Staring at Another 1930? | Patrick J. Buchanan – Official Website

After the victory of Donald Trump in 2016, the GOP held the Senate and House, two-thirds of the governorships, and 1,000 more state legislators than they had on the day Barack Obama took office.

“The Republican Party has not been this dominant in 90 years,” went the exultant claim.

A year later, Republicans lost the governorship of Virginia and almost lost the legislature.

GOP Adopts Democrat Big Deficit Spending

February 13, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

If you ever had doubts that the Federal Government experiment has failed, the bipartisan busting of the budget has made it clear that Congress abdicates their sacred duty to defend the nation from internal enemies of the people. Forget the preposterousness argument that the United States must have the most expensive military to expand the evil empire that has been built up since the end of World War II. Real national defense starts at our own water’s edge and needs to relinquish any absurd notion that our own safety is enhanced by having deployments to every corner of the globe. As long as the State Department expands their interventionism, diplomacy is scarified upon the alter of continuous military bombing. Eliminating the restrains of sequesters to tamp down the size and intrusions of gun boat intimidation are a step backward. Actual national defense is diminished by the garrison bases located far from our own homeland.

Fear of America First by GOP Establishment

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only”, is just as true today about the true conservative movement as it was back in Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities, era.

The Republican Convention and the Ron Paul Revolution

March 7, 2016 by · Leave a Comment

The Grand Old Party produced a scripted appeal to the faithful. The 2012 Republican Party convention in Tampa, designed to sell a filtered image of a country club version of conservatism, begs the historic substance of a traditional embodiment of true timeless values. Hitting a range of obligatory themes is not equivalent to standing for the principles of a constitutional republic. Appealing to the estranged elements of the GOP needs more than words to restore faith and hope. Reasoned policy stands require a refutation of the failure of the Neoconservative agenda. So do not be duped by the language in the platform.

Fox News Ratings Based Upon Newspeak

August 15, 2015 by · Leave a Comment

Political conservatives with a high degree of business savvy are able to see through the facade which Fox News has become. The recent orchestration of the Republican presidential debate was a huge ratings success hitting a record 24 million viewers. The early debate gained 6.1 million eyeballs. The contrast between the two venues could not be greater. The high level of discourse among the seven second tier candidates far surpassed the P.T. Barnum spectacular, which was scripted as an episode of desperately seeking jumbo. The GOP establishment elephant was center stage, but the RINO’s suffer from myopia as they disrespect grassroots conservatives.

What is Conservative Populism?

July 6, 2015 by · Leave a Comment

Do you consider yourself a conservative? Many well intentioned but misguided souls like to maintain a fallacy that they are part of the right-wing; especially when they support Republicans. These bewildered partisans have bought into an illusion that a conservative is a supporter of the status quo. They often believe that any politician who proclaims they are a champion of a GOP regime are really traditionalists. Some even go so far as to consider it impossible for any Democrat to hold any sentiments that could possibly resemble a conservative viewpoint.
