Trump Threatens Turkey: Pull Out of S-400 Deal with Russia, Or Else. Ankara Intimates Pulling out of NATO – Centre for Research on Globalization – Stephen Lendman

June 10, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

In December 2017, Turkey agreed to buy Russian S-400 air defense systems, categorized by military analysts as the world’s best, able to destroy multiple hostile aircraft, ballistic missiles, and other aerial targets up to 250 miles away at high and low altitudes.

China was Russia’s first foreign buyer, its military saying it “saw that the S-400 system by its capabilities today is unparalleled in the world in its armament class” — able to overcome heavy enemy fire and electronic countermeasures while effectively intercepting hostile aerial targets.

Nothing in the West matches it. On June 4, Turkish President Erdogan said it’s “out of the question” to back out of the deal, earlier saying purchase of Russian S-500s may follow when they’re available next year.

Israel Caught Election-Meddling – American Free Press – John Friend

June 10, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

A mysterious Israeli-based political consulting and lobbying firm was recently banned from Facebook for spreading fake news and disinformation designed to interfere with and disrupt elections in various countries around the world.

According to Nathaniel Gleicher, head of cybersecurity policy for Facebook, 65 Israeli accounts, 161 pages, dozens of groups, and four Instagram accounts were recently purged by the social media giant, which has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years.

In the aftermath of the purge, Facebook explained that the individuals associated with the banned accounts were tied to Archimedes Group, a Tel Aviv-based tech startup whose reported CEO, Elinadav Heymann, previously served as a spokesman and adviser in the Knesset, the unicameral legislative body in Israel. Heymann was also a senior intelligence agent in the Israeli air force and had worked as the director of the pro- Israel lobbying group European Friends of Israel, a major player in Brussels and the European Union political scene.

Exposé in “The Hill” challenges Mueller, media – Matt Taibbi

June 10, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Claim that would-be key Russiagate figure Konstantin Kilimnik is a longtime American informant might be a game-changing story – in a country with a real press corps.

John Solomon of The Hill just came out with what could be a narrative-changing story. If news organizations that heavily covered Russiagate don’t at least check out this report – confirm it or refute it – few explanations other than bias will make sense.

In “Key figure that Mueller report linked to Russia was a State Department intel source,” Solomon asserts that Konstantin Kilimnik, the mysterious Ukrainian cohort of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, has been a “sensitive” source for the U.S. State department dating back to at least 2013, including “while he was still working for Manafort.”

Primaries and Caucuses Take a Backseat to Party Insiders

June 10, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Now that the Iowa Caucus is in the record books, contrary to Trump’s demand for a redo, the respected party brokers are eager to weed out the hanger-on’s. Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul and Martin O’Malley are gone. The GOP Party, started in 1854, is circling the wagons behind their establishment pick, Marco Rubio and the Democratic National Committee, founded in 1848, will do everything necessary to see that Hillary Clinton gets her chance to steal their selection. All of this chicanery is being practiced by two private political power hungry organizations. Proprietary rules and internal arbitration is the hallmark of party control and discipline, which ensures that the final outcome goes as the money interests deem.

An Israeli Double-Feature: – PaulCraigRoberts.org

June 10, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Two days ago the US celebrated the 75th anniversary of D-Day with accolades to the armed forces and thanks to surviving veterans. The country stood strongly with the military. But today two days later is the 52nd anniversary of a day of shame when Washington turned its back on the US Navy. It was June 8, 1967 when the USS Liberty, a surveillance ship stationed off the coast of Egypt was attacked by Israeli fighter aircraft and torpedo boats. The Israelis were unable to sink the Liberty, but managed to kill 34 American sailors and wound 174. Seventy percent of the crew were casualties of the Israeli attack.

The White House, fearing the Israel Lobby, prevented the US Navy from going to the defense of the Liberty, thus sacrificing American lives, and further dishonored the US Navy by ordering Admiral McCain, father of the former US Senator John McCain, to orchestrate a cover-up. The surving crew were threatened with court-martial and imprisonment if they spoke about the event. It was 20 years before one of the surving officers wrote a book about the greatest act of shame the US government ever inflicted on the US military.

Tulsi Gabbard Pushes No War Agenda – and the Media Is out to Kill Her Chances, by Philip Giraldi – The Unz Review

June 7, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Voters looking ahead to 2020 are being bombarded with soundbites from the twenty plus Democratic would-be candidates. That Joe Biden is apparently leading the pack according to opinion polls should come as no surprise as he stands for nothing apart from being the Establishment favorite who will tirelessly work to support the status quo.

The most interesting candidate is undoubtedly Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who is a fourth term Congresswoman from Hawaii, where she was born and raised. She is also the real deal on national security, having been-there and done-it through service as an officer with the Hawaiian National Guard on a combat deployment in Iraq. Though in Congress full time, she still performs her Guard duty.

Tulsi’s own military experience notwithstanding, she gives every indication of being honestly anti-war. In the speech announcing her candidacy she pledged “focus on the issue of war and peace” to “end the regime-change wars that have taken far too many lives and undermined our security by strengthening terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda.” She referred to the danger posed by blundering into a possible nuclear war and indicated her dismay over what appears to be a re-emergence of the Cold War.

Land Destroyer: Europe Has no Freedom But to Choose “Freedom Gas” – Tony Cartalucci

June 7, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The US Department of Energy (DOE) recently renamed US liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports “freedom gas.” But freedom for who? For Europe who already has a cheap and reliable source of natural gas, but is being forced to switch over to more expensive US gas under the threat of sanctions? Certainly not.

Or freedom for Russia who supplies Europe with much of its natural gas to compete openly and fairly with the United States? Most definitely not.

Or is it freedom from competition for the US? Yes, indeed.

It is often contradictory branding that heralds various chapters of US injustice at home (under the draconian “Patriot Act” for example) and abroad, such as during the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq carried out under the dubious name of “Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

The main Iranian threat was built by Mexico, Congress, and U.S. business | Non-Intervention2 – Michael F. Scheuer

June 7, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Seldom do concurrent events give U.S. citizens a chance to see the stubborn and uncaring-for-Americans stupidity of the designers of the national government’s foreign policy. But, today, such a situation has occurred and the asinine nature of U.S. foreign policy can be seen in brilliant clarity on the oddly related issues of Iran and Mexico.

This year is the 40th anniversary of President Crater’s decision to make Iran the permanent enemy of the United States. Instead of, say, sinking Iran’s entire navy or destroying its entire air force as rapidly as possible after the Iranians took the U.S. diplomatic hostages, Carter diddled as the mullahs consolidated power. Such military action would have forced Tehran’s hand, it would have had to choose to either release or kill the hostages. If they were released, Carter could have responded by ceasing military action. If they were killed, he could have completed the annihilation of the remainder of Iran’s military, as well as its oil pipelines and ocean-going tankers.

D-Day After 75 Years – PaulCraigRoberts.org

June 7, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Today is the 75th anniversary of the Normandy invasion. Once again the event is celebrated by demonization of National Socialist Germany and glorification of America’s greatness in winning the war.

In actual fact the Normandy invasion was not a significant contributor to Germany’s defeat. A small US/British/Canadian/French force of about 150,000 soldiers of which about 73,000 were American faced a few German divisions at half strength and short of fuel and ammo. The real war was on the Eastern front where millions of soldiers had been fighting for several years.

The Red Army won World War II. The cost to the Soviets was between 9 million and 11 million military deaths. Adding in the Russian civilian deaths, the Soviet Union won the war at the cost of between 22 million and 27 million Soviet lives.

Bernie & Joe: Two Old White Males Take the Lead – Patrick J. Buchanan – Official Website

In 2018, a record turnout of women, minorities and young added 40 House seats to Democratic ranks and made Nancy Pelosi speaker.

This, we were told, is the new diversity coalition — women, people of color, millennials — that will take down The Donald in 2020.

So, how has the Democratic field sorted itself out half a year later?

According to the Real Clear Politics average of polls, two old white guys, Joe Biden, 76, and Bernie Sanders, 77, are setting the pace and have together corralled more than half of all Democrats.

Congress Fiddles While Iran War Looms – American Free Press – Dr. Ron Paul

June 6, 2019 by · 1 Comment

Congress—and particularly the Democrat- controlled House of Representatives—seems determined to see the end of the Trump administration before the 2020 vote. Although House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) claims she is not seeking impeachment, she’s accusing the president of “covering up” something; however, she won’t say what until she can do more investigating.

But Trump’s opponents on both sides of the congressional aisle don’t seem so enthusiastic about challenging the president when he actually does abuse his constitutional authority to pursue a more aggressive policy overseas.

Late last week, for example, President Donald Trump declared a national security “emergency” brought about by unspecified “Iranian malign activity”—a “loophole” allowing him to bypass congressional review of some $8 billion in U.S. weapons to be sold to Saudi Arabia. Congress had been reluctant to approve yet more arms sales to Saudi Arabia after the president vetoed a bipartisan House and Senate-approved bill requiring the U.S. to end its military support for the Saudi war of aggression against Yemen.

Training Disaster Gave Nazis Normandy Notice – henrymakow.com

(This book commemorates the 75th anniversary of D-Day Thursday)

1500 America soldiers died in a D-Day rehearsal on April 27-28, 1944
at Slapton Sands, more than at Utah Beach on June 6, 1944. The shoreline at Slapton Sands was identical to Normandy.  So, yes the Nazis knew where the attack was coming but this information was not acted upon.

Attacks by Nazis torpedo boats took about 1000 American lives. A “friendly fire mishap” took another 500.

Hushed up for 50 years, this debacle is a reminder that all wars target the uninitiated  — goyim and Jew alike.

The Rutherford Institute :: You’re Under Arrest: How the Police State Muzzles Our Right to Speak Truth to Power | By John W. Whitehead

June 6, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

What the First Amendment protects—and a healthy constitutional republic requires—are citizens who routinely exercise their right to speak truth to power.

What the architects of the police state want are submissive, compliant, cooperative, obedient, meek citizens who don’t talk back, don’t challenge government authority, don’t speak out against government misconduct, and don’t step out of line.

For those who refuse to meekly accept the heavy-handed tyranny of the police state, the danger is all too real.

We live in an age in which “we the people” are at the mercy of militarized, weaponized, immunized cops who have almost absolute discretion to decide who is a threat, what constitutes resistance, and how harshly they can deal with the citizens they were appointed to “serve and protect.”

China and the New Cold War – Antiwar.com Original – Justin Raimondo

June 6, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Originally published June 17, 1999: As we head into the 30th anniversary of Tiananmen Square and the inevitable orgy of China-bashing, it is well worth rereading Justin Raimondo’s prescient and well-researched article from the 10th anniversary in 1999. 20 years later, it holds up remarkably well.

The burst of good old-fashioned “isolationism” on the Right that followed the implosion of Communism and the end of the Cold War is in danger of sputtering to an abrupt halt. From Pat Buchanan to Gary Bauer to the congressional Republican leadership, just about every political leader and ideologue of a conservative hue has been snookered by a concerted campaign to demonize China as the new Evil Empire. A grand coalition that spans the spectrum, from the AFL-CIO to the American Conservative Union, is beating the drums for war with China.

The Force That Is Ending Freedom Is Lies — Strategic Culture – Eric Zuesse

June 5, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Every empire is a dictatorship. No nation can be a democracy that’s either heading an empire, or a vassal-state of one. Obviously, in order to be a vassal-state within an empire, that nation is dictated-to by the nation of which it is a colony. However, even the domestic inhabitants of the colonizing nation cannot be free and living in a democracy, because their services are needed abroad in order to impose the occupying force upon the colony or vassal-nation. This is an important burden upon the ‘citizens’ or actually the subjects of the imperial nation. Furthermore, they need to finance, via their taxes, this occupying force abroad, to a sufficient extent so as to subdue any resistance by the residents in any colony. Every empire is imposed, none is really voluntary. Conquest creates an empire, and the constant application of force maintains it. Every empire is a dictatorship, not only upon its foreign populations (which goes without saying, because otherwise there can’t be any empire), but upon its domestic ones too, upon its own subjects.

Any empire needs weapons-makers, who sell to the government and whose only markets are the imperial government and its vassal-nations or ‘allies’. By contrast, ’enemy’ nations are ones that the imperial power has placed onto its priority-list of nations that are yet to become conquered. There are two main reasons to conquer a nation. One is in order to be enabled to extract, from the colony, oil, or gold, or some other valuable commodity. The other is in order to control it so as to be enabled to use that land as a passageway for exporting, from a vassal-nation, to other nations, that vassal-nation’s products.

The American Cult of Bombing and Endless War – Veterans News Report – William J. Astore

June 5, 2019 by · 1 Comment

From Syria to Yemen in the Middle East, Libya to Somalia in Africa, Afghanistan to Pakistan in South Asia, an American aerial curtain has descended across a huge swath of the planet. Its stated purpose: combatting terrorism. Its primary method: constant surveillance and bombing — and yet more bombing. Its political benefit: minimizing the number of U.S. “boots on the ground” and so American casualties in the never-ending war on terror, as well as any public outcry about Washington’s many conflicts. Its economic benefit: plenty of high-profit business for weapons makers for whom the president can now declare a national security emergency whenever he likes and so sell their warplanes and munitions to preferred dictatorships in the Middle East (no congressional approval required). Its reality for various foreign peoples: a steady diet of “Made in USA” bombs and missiles bursting here, there, and everywhere.

Think of all this as a cult of bombing on a global scale. America’s wars are increasingly waged from the air, not on the ground, a reality that makes the prospect of ending them ever more daunting. The question is: What’s driving this process?

Arguing Against Reality – Taki’s Magazine – Steve Sailer

June 5, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

I was reminded of the Gell-Man effect when reading British journalist Angela Saini’s much celebrated new book, Superior: The Return of Race Science.

In Saini’s sprawling conspiracy theory about the malign forces that inspire evil scientists to keep on noticing differences between human groups despite seventy years of politically correct censorship, I am cast as a villain, along with, among others, polymath Francis Galton, psychometrician Arthur Jensen, geneticist James D. Watson, rock singer Morrissey, Harvard geneticist David Reich, and even Albert Einstein. (That lineup makes me feel like the batboy on the 1927 Yankees: honored just to be on the same field.)

Saini gets her story about me so wrong that’s it’s hard to have much confidence in the rest of her book.

Lest We Forget: Tiananmen Square Massacre – 30 Years Later – William F. Jasper

June 5, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Many of the globalist elites of Wall Street and Big Tech, such as Microsoft’s Bill Gates, are helping the oppressive communist regime in Beijing.

“Tank man.” One lone individual stubbornly facing down the unstoppable, pitiless machinery of the totalitarian Communist state. On a fateful day, for a few awe-inspiring moments, one anonymous man armed only with a couple of grocery bags halted a column of tanks, briefly stopping an army on a mission of murderous rampage.

As many as ten thousand victims (or more) were slaughtered: machine-gunned, bayoneted, beaten, or ground into pulp under the treads of the army tanks. Tank Man’s unbelievably heroic and unforgettable actions have been immortalized in video and photo images that have been seen by billions of people worldwide over the past three decades. Tragically, very few of China’s nearly 1.4 billion people have seen these images, however. The Communist Party censors have made sure of that. Like everything else concerning the Tiananmen Square Massacre of June 4, 1989, “Tank Man” has gone down the Orwellian memory hole.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo describes the Trump administration’s plan for peace between Israel and Palestinian Arabs as “unexecutable.” President Trump says Pompeo “may be right.”

Good! As addiction counselors say, the first step is admitting you have a problem. With addiction, the way out is not “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” It’s admitting that the thing you’re addicted to will never solve your problems and giving up that thing.

The United States suffers from a long-term addiction, since at least the end of World War 2, to trying to run the world.

That addiction has cost American taxpayers trillions of dollars.
