Operation Body Count
Highlights Human Cost of Illegal Immigration
"More then 25 Americans die every day at the hands of illegal aliens"
On Saturday, November 25, 2006, the Federal Immigration Reform & Enforcement (FIRE) Coalition will conduct Operation Body Count. This one-hour presentation will occur in state capitols and major cities from coast to coast simultaneously.
The FIRE Coalition, along with Mothers Against Illegal Aliens (MAIA) and other coalition member groups in Arizona, Washington, Illinois, and North Carolina will peaceably illustrate, in a somber and dignified fashion, the daily loss of life at the hands of illegal aliens in America.
Statistically, 25 Americans die every day at the hands of illegal aliens. In one year, that equates to 9,125 dead; more than all of our military losses and civilian casualties since the Marine Barracks bombing in 1983. Operation Body Count seeks to ensure that our state, local, and federal governments, as well as our citizens, are aware of the magnitude of these losses. In order to ensure proper attention is placed on enforcing our immigration laws, we have prepared a partial list of 3,000 victims who died because of illegal immigration. This list is available electronically upon request.

The FIRE Coalition is a nationwide coalition of individuals and over 100 groups dedicated to stopping the flood of illegal immigration and promoting reasonable policies for limited, controlled legal immigration that serve to benefit the American people and safeguard our jobs, communities, way of life, public resources, environmental resources, and national security.
We believe that it is the duty of our government to vigorously enforce our immigration laws, including repatriation of foreign nationals illegally in the United States and removing incentives for individuals to illegally cross our borders. We support the enforcement and strengthening of existing laws penalizing those who employ and harbor illegal immigrants, and seek to educate those who passively accept or “turn a blind eye” to this problem as to the many destructive consequences of illegal immigration. FIRE Coalition’s efforts extend beyond federal matters to include state and local concerns as well. The coalition is most widely known for their employer enforcement database at WeHireAliens.com where nearly 2,500 employers, who reportedly hire illegal aliens, are listed.
