Prosecutor In Charge of Clinton Email Probe Criticizes Mueller – Washington Free Beacon – Bill Gertz

May 1, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The Justice Department’s senior counterspy prosecutor who worked on both the Hillary Clinton email probe and the initial Russian election meddling probe recently criticized Special Counsel Robert Mueller for not completing his team’s investigation.

David H. Laufman, until recently chief of the counterintelligence and export control section of the Justice Department national security division, also defended the government prosecution of leakers, including the recent case of an anti-American former intelligence contractor who provided a top-secret document to a news outlet.

“I can’t substitute my judgement for that of Mueller’s team,” he said. “And I had to hand off my chapter of that [investigation] early on and so I’m not going to stand here and tell you whether I think the evidence does or doesn’t warrant actual charges. But I do think it was wrong of the special counsel’s office not to make the charging decision on obstruction—up or down.”

Dear Judges on Social Media: Don’t Forget the Fundamentals of a Fair Trial – Consortiumnews – Greg Barns and Lisanne Adam

On Thursday this week WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will face a London court. This hearing relates to the request by the United States to extradite Assange to that country to face a computer hacking charge carrying a maximum penalty of five years. No doubt social media will be alive with commentary, support, abuse and everything in between concerning Assange’s plight.

When, after almost seven years, on April 11, 2019, Assange was arrested on Ecuadorian soil and taken into custody by U.K. police, social media exploded with the pro- and anti-Assange forces countering each other, and there has been a deluge of commentary about WikiLeaks and Assange the man. But much of what passes for comment about Assange on social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook ignores some fundamental issues and facts about this extraordinary case. It is important to restate them in the hope, vain though it may be, that social media comment about Assange and WikiLeaks is at least well informed and deals with what is actually at stake in his case.

More New ‘AIPACs’ Popping Up – American Free Press – Philip Giraldi

April 30, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

New organizations dedicated to “defending” Israel are proliferating due to concerns that the American people are finally waking up to the fact that they have been getting ripped off by a vast Zionist conspiracy for the past 70-plus years. Ironically, while it has become possible to criticize Israel even in the mainstream media, the United States government itself has become more firmly in the grasp of the Israel lobby, most recently manifested in bills passed by Congress pledging undying love and affection for war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and all his works. This has been due in large part to the effective lobbying by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which met in Washington in March and drew 18,000 of its supporters to both show up and lobby their congressmen.

The congressional love affair with Israel has been accompanied by billions of dollars in U.S. taxpayer-provided Danegeld per annum plus a de facto commitment to send American soldiers to fight and die for Israel even if Netanyahu starts a war for no reason whatsoever.

Lying is as old as humanity itself. We all tell ourselves the biggest lie of all, but most don’t remember it until our final moments close in.

So much military mayhem over the centuries has been blamed on religious differences, but wars are always about material gain and blaming creeds for them is simply a clever way of covering up crimes being committed under the rubric of some pretentiously noble but invariably criminal rationalization.

Two of America’s longest wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, provide us perfect examples of this — Iraq for its oil and Afghanistan for its drugs, the two main commodities that keep the Deep State in power.

Wealthy Elitists Freak Out As Hordes Of Homeless People Take Over Their Neighborhoods All Over The West Coast – Michael Snyder

April 29, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The elite are very “tolerant” of the homeless until they start showing up in their own neighborhoods.  Even though the mainstream media keeps telling us that the U.S. economy is “booming”, the number of Americans living on the streets continues to grow very rapidly, and this is particularly true in our major west coast cities.  More than half a million Americans will sleep on the streets of our cities tonight, and they need help, care and shelter.  Sadly, as economic conditions deteriorate that number is likely to double or even triple.  Of course many among the elite are all in favor of doing something for the homeless, as long as they don’t have to be anywhere around them.

For example, let’s talk about what is going on in Los Angeles.  No city on the west coast has a bigger problem with homelessness than L.A. does, and many in the homeless population enjoy camping out on the beautiful beaches in the L.A. area at night.

But of course many of the elite that paid millions of dollars for beachfront property are not too thrilled about this.  Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten was a key symbol of anti-establishment rebellion in the 1970s, but now he is freaking out because homeless people are making life very difficult for him and his wife in Venice Beach, and what he recently told Newsweek’s Paula Froelich is making headlines all over the nation

Special Counsel Mueller: Disingenuous and Dishonest – Consortiumnews – Larry C. Johnson

April 26, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

This is not a mere matter of Mueller and his team “failing” to disclose some important facts.  If they were operating honestly, they should have investigated Mifsud, Greenberg and Sater. But they did not. Two of the three alleged Russian stooges — Sater and Greenberg — have ties to the FBI. And Mifsud has been living and working in the belly of the intelligence community.

When you put these facts together it is clear that there is real meat on the bone for Barr’s upcoming investigation of the “spying” that was being done on the Trump campaign by law enforcement and intelligence. These facts must become a part of the public consciousness. The foreign country that worked feverishly to meddle in the 2016 presidential election and the subsequent rule of Donald Trump is the United Kingdom. Russia is the patsy.

The media are already salivating over the possible removal of a president they have come to loathe more than their great nemeses of the 20th century — Joe McCarthy and Richard Nixon. And the media will reward those who echo the call for impeachment…

President Donald Trump has decided to cease cooperating with what he sees, not incorrectly, as a Beltway conspiracy that is out to destroy him.

“We’re fighting all the subpoenas,” Trump said Wednesday. “These aren’t, like, impartial people. The Democrats are out to win in 2020.”

Thus the Treasury Department just breezed by a deadline from the House Ways and Means Committee to deliver Trump’s tax returns.

Are Israeli Partisan Lobbyists Going on the Defensive? We Hold These Truths – Tom Compton

April 26, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

While it may still seem that the Israeli partisan lobby is unstoppable, resistance to it is growing. In Arizona, a group of Palestinian activists went down to the state capitol to challenge a well oiled effort by Israeli partisans to introduce a new and “improved” version of a previous anti-BDS (Boycotts, Divestment & Sanctions) law that was enacted in 2016, and has, subsequently, been struck down by a federal judge in AZ for violating freedom of speech (for details see: “Bill seeks to replace pro-Israel law found unconstitutional”). Our podcast,  “Israeli Partisans on Warpath in Arizona to Stomp Out Free Speech,” gives  an in depth look at how the challenge to the Israeli partisan lobby was made.

A  hearing was held by the Arizona House Committee on  International & State Affairs on Senate bill S.1167, the anti-BDS legislation. Present at the hearing was an Israeli partisan lawyer from Washington, DC  arguing for the anti-BDS legislation. He stated that he had written the anti-BDS legislation for a number of the 27 states that have enacted such laws. He argued the case based, mostly, on economic benefit rhetoric.

The Conspiracy Against Trump, by Philip Giraldi – The Unz Review

April 25, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The real “deplorable” in today’s United States is the continuation of a foreign policy based on endless aggression to maintain Washington’s military dominance in parts of the world where Americans have no conceivable interest. Many voters backed Donald J. Trump because he committed himself to changing all that, but, unfortunately, he has reneged on his promise, instead heightening tension with major powers Russia and China while also threatening Iran and Venezuela on an almost daily basis. Now Cuba is in the crosshairs because it is allegedly assisting Venezuela. One might reasonably ask if America in its seemingly enduring role as the world’s most feared bully will ever cease and desist, but the more practical question might be “When will the psychopathic trio of John Bolton, Mike Pompeo and Elliott Abrams be fired so the United States can begin to behave like a normal nation?”

Trump, to be sure, is the heart of the problem as he has consistently made bad, overly belligerent decisions when better and less abrasive options were available, something that should not necessarily always be blamed on his poor choice of advisers. But one also should not discount the likelihood that the dysfunction in Trump is in part comprehensible, stemming from his belief that he has numerous powerful enemies who have been out do destroy him since before he was nominated as the GOP’s presidential candidate. This hatred of all things Trump has been manifested in the neoconservative “Nevertrump” forces led by Bill Kristol and by the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” prominent on the political left, regularly exhibited by Rachel Maddow.

Sri Lanka’s Easter Terror Bombings: Troubling Questions, Looking Beneath the Surface William F. Jasper

April 25, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Another massive terrorist atrocity, and another massive intelligence failure? Why so many troubling, unanswered questions? Why were warnings ignored? Who allowed it to happen? Who are the terrorist bombers: Islamists, communists, socialists, foreign intel operatives, all of the above? Is there a larger agenda beneath the surface? Is the rushed narrative of “Islamist extremists” a little too convenient?

Almost immediately following the deadly terrorist bombings of Christian Churches and tourist hotels on April 21, Easter Sunday, Sri Lankan officials named members of a little-known radical Islamist organization as the perpetrators. The rapid fingering of National Thowheed Jamath as the group responsible seems to be remarkably too convenient and leaves unanswered a host of troubling questions that we should not allow to be dismissed.

According to government spokesmen and various early news reports, Sri Lankan intelligence officials had detailed information — including the names of individual terrorists — about multiple pending terrorist attacks on Easter against Catholic churches and other targets more than two weeks prior to the actual attacks. Why was no action taken? Did the intelligence chief withhold the information from the president and prime minister? Did the president and/or prime minister ignore the warnings?

Land Destroyer: NATO at 70: Retirement or Renaissance?

April 25, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

US Vice President Mike Pence has recently referred to NATO as, “the most successful military alliance in the history of the world.” Of course, “success” needs to be defined, especially when casual observers note the trail of death and destruction left in NATO’s wake from Eastern Europe to North Africa to the Middle East to Central Asia over the last several decades.

For the casual observer, the NATO-linked Atlantic Council would attempt to offer a (very) short list of “NATO’s accomplishments in recent years.” The article was published in 2013, and time has not been kind to this list.

In a global order predicated on “might makes right,” NATO’s leading members find themselves no longer mightiest. Just as they swept aside entire nations over past decades, they themselves now face being swept aside by a growing tide of opposition to what NATO really stands for and the measures of “success” it truly uses to justify its continued existence.

New CN Series: The Revelations of WikiLeaks: No. 1—The Video that Put Assange in US Crosshairs – Consortiumnews – Elizabeth Vos

April 24, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

WikiLeaks was founded in 2006, but it was the April 5, 2010, publication of “Collateral Murder” that made the whistleblower-publisher a world-wide phenomenon, attracting admirers and enemies.

WikiLeaks wrote of the film: “The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-sight, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.”

WikiLeaks noted that Reuters had unsuccessfully attempted to gain access to the video through the Freedom of Information Act in the years after the strike.

The day after the release of the footage, The New York Times described WikiLeaks as a once-fringe website that had moved into the big time. “The site has become a thorn in the side of authorities in the United States and abroad,” it said. “With the Iraq attack video, the clearinghouse for sensitive documents is edging closer toward a form of investigative journalism and to advocacy.”

As big a problem Rep. Ilhan Omar is for JewsIsrael and the Democratic Party, she is the face of a much bigger problem for the historic American nation: immigrants, or their children, from what it is now apparently Politically Incorrect to call the Third World being elected to Congress.

Granted, the proximate target of the Muslim Somali refugee’sire is Israel. “It’s all about the Benjamins,” the Koranically-sworn congresswoman famously tweeted. “I am told everyday that I am anti-American if I am not pro-Israel,” she answered when a Jewish Democrat called out her “anti-Semitism.”

And, granted, the Democrats, particularly open-borders Jewish Democrats, are getting what they deserve. In a party where the sine qua non of success is unqualified support for Israel, top leaders don’t know what to do about Omar, whom they merrily invited to join their subversion.

The Democratic Party will get the civil war it wants | Non-Intervention2 – Michael Scheuer

April 21, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Two-plus years of the republic’s life have been stolen on the basis of criminal investigation that had no predicate crime to justify its operations. In other words, it operated on the basis of nothing, no basis whatsoever. Like Hitler, Mao, and Stalin, U.S. investigators targeted the man they want to destroy and then worked to frame a crime for his demise. They also enlisted multiple foreign powers to help them execute their framing project, an action both treasonous and gallows-worthy

But the rigged criminal investigation – like the Nazi Democrat’s rigged 2016 election – failed, and the target was exonerated. All Americans with commonsense know that in the American legal system the prosecutor must make a decision on the evidence he gathers. He either indicts or does not indict. In the latter case, the prosecutor traditionally simply says little or nothing so not to defame the non-indicted, and, therefore, innocent target.

In the present case, a supposedly splendid legal mind said he could not indict or exonerate the target, which is a lie on its face. He did not indict the target because there is no evidence to do so. Again, the rigged investigation failed.

Robert Mueller Obliterated Trump-Russia Conspiracy Theories – The Intercept – Glenn Greenwald

April 20, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

THE TWO-PRONGED CONSPIRACY THEORY that has dominated U.S. political discourse for almost three years – that (1) Trump, his family and his campaign conspired or coordinated with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election, and (2) Trump is beholden to Russian President Vladimir Putin — was not merely rejected today by the final report of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. It was obliterated: in an undeniable and definitive manner.

The key fact is this: Mueller – contrary to weeks of false media claims – did not merely issue a narrow, cramped, legalistic finding that there was insufficient evidence to indict Trump associates for conspiring with Russia and then proving their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. That would have been devastating enough to those who spent the last two years or more misleading people to believe that conspiracy convictions of Trump’s closest aides and family members were inevitable. But his mandate was much broader than that: to state what did or did not happen.

That’s precisely what he did: Mueller, in addition to concluding that evidence was insufficient to charge any American with crimes relating to Russian election interference, also stated emphatically in numerous instances that there was no evidence – not merely that there was insufficient evidence to obtain a criminal conviction – that key prongs of this three-year-old conspiracy theory actually happened. As Mueller himself put it: “in some instances, the report points out the absence of evidence or conflicts in the evidence about a particular fact or event.”

Why They Killed Jesus – henrymakow.com

What is vexing humanity?  The truth is overlooked because we can’t believe anything so important could be so simple.
When Christ extended God’s Grace to all people, he offended the Jews’ sense of Chosenness. That, apparently, was an unpardonable sin.

Christ said God is in everyone.
The ability to hear God defines us as “human.”
It enables us to distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong, beautiful and ugly, sick and healthy.
This Divine Spirit infuses human life, according to all true religions. Judaism begs to differ.

U.S. Intelligence Institutionally Politicized Toward Democrats – Bill Gertz

April 18, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies have become bastions of political liberals and the pro-Democratic Party views of intelligence personnel have increased under President Donald Trump, according to a journal article by a former CIA analyst.

John Gentry, who spent 12 years as a CIA analyst, criticized former senior intelligence leaders, including CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former deputy CIA director Michael Morell, along with former analyst Paul Pillar, for breaking decades-long prohibitions of publicly airing their liberal political views in attacking Trump.

The institutional bias outlined in a lengthy article in the quarterly International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence risks undermining the role of intelligence in support of government leaders charged with making policy decisions.

Trump Dances to Israel’s Tune, by Philip Giraldi – The Unz Review

April 17, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

So newly reelected Israeli monster-in-chief Benjamin Netanyahu has boasted, with a grin, that America’s President Donald J. Trump followed through on his proposal to declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist group. Bibi was smiling because the timing of the move, one day before the Israeli election, strongly suggests it was done to assist him against what had become a very strong opposition challenge. That Trump likely colluded with Netanyahu to blatantly interfere in the election has apparently bothered no one in Israel or in the tame American media.

The gift from Washington came on top of recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, threatening members of the International Criminal Court if they try to prosecute Israel for war crimes, moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, removing the word “occupation” from the State Department’s assessments of human rights infringements on the West Bank, eliminating relief funding for Palestinian refugees, leaving the U.N. Human Rights Council because it was too critical of Israel, and looking the other way as Israel declared itself a state only for Jews. Washington also ignored the bombing of hospitals, schools and water treatment infrastructure in Gaza while Israeli army snipers were shooting unarmed demonstrators demanding their freedom.

AIPAC and the Federal Election Commission | Intrepid Report.com – Renee Parsons

April 17, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Reviewing AIPAC’s history since its 1963 creation reveals a consistently well organized campaign of manipulation and evasion of the US election law as one necessary ingredient to its invincible image on Capitol Hill. The American Israel Political Affairs Committee has long claimed it is not a political action committee, that it does not endorse candidates nor provide financial donations to political campaigns. As with all things involving AIPAC, there is another side to the story.

As the result of a 1988 Sixty Minutes interview by Mike Wallace, it became clear that AIPAC had a long history of involvement in US electoral politics as it targeted non-AIPAC members of  Congress for defeat with the use of “80 shell-front pro-Israel PACs.” Unfortunately, Wallace never inquired whether AIPAC was in compliance with the Federal Election Commission laws. It comes as no surprise to know it was not and continues to resist efforts at accountability or adhering to the standard rule of registering as a foreign entity.

Punishing the Past, Impeding the Future: the Arrest of Assange – Counter Punch – GIORGIO AGAMBEN

April 15, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

I met Assange two years ago at the Embassy of Ecuador in London, and remembering what he had told me during our encounter I think one can understand why he was arrested today. Assange mentioned to me that he was investigating how Google was planning to make use of the immense quantity of information at its disposal. It had to do with, according to Assange, selling to insurance companies and secret services data about the interests, desires, consumption habits, state of health, reading practices…in a nutshell data about the life of millions of individuals in all its aspects.

According to Assange—and I believe we can share his view—this would mean an unprecedented increase in the possible ways of controlling human beings through the powers of the market and the police. What is at the core of Assange’s arrest is, therefore, not only the desire to punish past WikiLeaks investigations, but to impede investigations currently underway that evidently all those implicated seem to be threatened by. It is also for this reason that it is necessary to express unreserved solidarity with Assange.
