Killing Nationalism: Merkel Says Nations Should Give Up Sovereignty – Selwyn Duke

January 1, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

German Chancellor Angela Merkel may be preparing to step off the political stage, but she’s apparently going out not with a whimper but a globalist bang. This was signaled recently at an event organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, where the German leader and ex-communist proclaimed, “In this day nation states must today — should today, I say — be ready to give up sovereignty,” according to the Express.

Ah, the difference between “must” and “should”: a spontaneous Freudian slip to the mind and two seconds in a speech — and a whole lot of power in government.

Speaking at the “Parliamentarianism Between Globalisation and National Sovereignty” event last month, Merkel impugned “populism” and “suggested countries should [must?] be willing to give up control over their own affairs and let organisations such as the European Union have more power,” as the Express summarized it. The paper called this “a veiled swipe at Brexit.” It was likely that — and more.

Trump Right (Of Course!): Migrant Deaths Fault Of Caravan Conspirators/Democrats—Who Want To Destroy America | Articles | VDARE.com – James Kirkpatrick

President Donald J. Trump is rightly blaming Democrats for the deaths of migrant children who tried to enter the country, two in the past month. [2 migrant children died this month. But warnings were documented long before thatBy Pamela Ren Larson, Arizona Republic, December 28, 2018]

In contrast, Karen Tumulty at The Washington Post grandly proclaims that “Trump’s tweets on children dying in U.S. custody are a new low.” [December 29, 2018]. But even her showy faux outrage shows President Trump is right.

If Democrats were concerned about the lives and safety of these migrants, they would insist on strict border security and providing enough resources to law enforcement before there is even a discussion about what to do with asylum seekers or migrants of any form.

Yet caravan conspirators, journalist/ activists and foreign governments keep sending “migrants” a.k.a. infiltrators forward, like human wave attacks.

Trump’s Foreign Policy Remains Muddled – American Free Press – Ron Paul

December 30, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

After a week of insisting that a meeting with Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Argentina was going to happen, President Donald Trump at the last minute sent out a statement explaining that due to a Russia-Ukraine dispute in the Sea of Azov he would no longer be willing to meet his Russian counterpart.

According to Trump, the meeting had to be cancelled because the Russians seized three Ukrainian naval vessels in Russian waters that refused to follow instructions from the Russian military. But as Pat Buchanan wrote in a recent column: How is this little dispute thousands of miles away any of our business?

California Election System in Mayhem – American Free Press – John Friend

December 27, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Voter fraud and corruption is a very real problem, even in so-called “advanced democracies,” such as the United States. For example, changes made in 2016 to AB1921, a California state law dealing with collecting and submitting voter ballots, may have exacerbated the problem in the Golden State, at least according to some political experts.

Prior to 2016, California election laws stated that voters wishing to vote by mail had to either mail their ballot in or have a family or household member submit the ballot on their behalf at their local polling place. The changes made to AB1921 and signed into law in 2016 by Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown updated the law to allow anyone to return mail ballots on behalf of other voters. Called “ballot harvesting,” the updates allowed third parties—really anyone—to collect ballots from voters and submit them to election officials with little oversight.

WSJ Discovers How Algos Broke The Market | Zero Hedge

December 26, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

For years, as the market rose in seemingly uninterrupted fashion buoyed by trillions in excess central bank liquidity and algos programmed to buy any dip while frontrunning each and every buy order, virtually nobody – except for a few “fringe”, “fake news” blogs – complained about the threat posed by algo trading and the quiet but dire deterioration in market liquidity.

Now that the S&P has finally suffered its first bear market in a decade, the mass media is out in full force looking for scapegoats and, predictably, in an attempt to deflect attention from the biggest, and only, culprit behind each and every bull-bust cycle namely the US central bank, has focused on “computerized trading.”

In a front page article, the WSJ is out today with “Behind the Market Swoon: The Herdlike Behavior of Computerized Trading“, in which a bevy of WSJ authors, among which the paper’s new ‘Fed whisperer‘ Nick Timiraos (who may or may not have been tasked with delivering a piece drawing attention from the inhabitants of the Marriner Eccles building), write that “behind the broad, swift market slide of 2018 is an underlying new reality: Roughly 85% of all trading is on autopilot—controlled by machines, models, or passive investing formulas, creating an unprecedented trading herd that moves in unison and is blazingly fast.”

Joyeux Noёl: The Beginnings of WWI and the Christmas Truce of 1914 – The Occidental Observer

December 25, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

With the hindsight offered by ninety-nine years, it is obvious that the outbreak of the World War I marked not merely the beginning of the most destructive war in history up to that time, but a fundamental civilizational watershed. While the fighting was going on, nearly all participants assumed they had been forced into the struggle by naked aggression from the other side. It took historians years to unravel what had actually happened.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, the German Army was the best in Europe, capable of defeating any individual rival. Yet Germany had no natural borders, and was vulnerable to a joint attack on two fronts: by France and Britain in the West and the Russian Empire in the East. A German defeat was considered virtually inevitable in such a scenario.

The Franco-Russian alliance of 1894, which became the Triple Entente when Britain joined in 1907, realized Germany’s worst fears.

Mnuchin Called Bank CEOs To Check Liquidity, Calm Markets; Has Monday Call With Plunge Protection Team | Zero Hedge

December 24, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Update: With everyone suddenly freaking out over whether (and why) Mnuchin really made the kind of “liquidity test” call to bank CEOs that was reserved for the depth of the financial crisis, moments ago Mnuchin himself tweeted out details of his Sunday call (from Cabo), the gist of which is that Mnuchin was checking bank liquidity levels for “loans and other market operations” with the CEOs of the 6 largest banks, and even more importantly, on Monday Mnuchin will hold a call with the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, better known as the Plunge Protection Team.

In other words, what was expected to be a sleepy Monday half-day session, is about to get a lot more violent.

Mattis Was Just Another Interventionist and Globalist – Steve Byas

December 22, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

President Trump’s unexpected decision this week to pull U.S. troops out of Syria led almost immediately to the resignation of Secretary of Defense Jim “Mad Dog” Mattis on Thursday. While criticism from Democrats was a given, just for the sake of criticizing anything Trump does, the outrage of Republican internationalists over Mattis’ resignation revealed just how entrenched certain ideas are in the U.S. government — that America should be the world’s policeman being first among them.

Despite his tough image, complete with the moniker “Mad Dog,” it should be understood that Jim Mattis is no conservative, much less a constitutionalist. Mattis is the typical high-ranking military officer who made his way to the top by being politically correct. He was no Douglas MacArthur or George Patton, that’s for sure.

John Derbyshire: Is Trump’s Wall Really Immoral? What Would We Take Instead? | Articles | VDARE.com

December 22, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

So there’s going to be at least a brief government shutdown over the Democrats’ refusal to fund President Trump’s Wall. Good.I cheered on the Wall when Trump put it at the front of his campaign in 2016. And of course we should have a secure barrier to separate us from the semi-barbarous countries to our south, most of which are not so much nation-states as criminal enterprises.

Still, I’m starting to worry that Trump’s need for a Wall—and he really does need it, if he’s not to be thrown out of office in 2020 to jeers of derision and hoots of contempt—I’m worrying that this Wall obsession is crowding out real patriotic immigration reform.

Last week I expressed my fear that the enemy—I mean, the open-borders nation-killers in Congress, the courts, and the media —might calculate that it would be worth giving Trump a wall, and maybe even four more years in the White House, if, in return, they got a total Amnesty for twenty or thirty million illegal aliens, perhaps with expedited citizenship, and big expansions of guest-worker programs, chain migration, refugee settlement, and so on.

Donald Trump Celebrates House Victory for Border Security Funding Bill

President Donald Trump celebrated the passage of a government funding bill that included an additional $5.7 billion in border security funds.

“Thank you to our GREAT Republican Members of Congress for your VOTE to fund Border Security and the Wall,” Trump wrote about the vote, in which House Republicans passed the bill with a 217-185 vote.

Trump Calls Democratic Bluff: Won’t Sign Bill to Fund Gov’t Without Wall Money – R. Cort Kirkwood

December 20, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

It appears that President Trump recovered his courage and will, indeed, refuse to sign a bill to continue funding the government past December 21 if he does not get $5 billion to help build a wall to stop illegal immigration.

Trump had promised to remain firm, saying he’d be proud to shut down the government. Then yesterday, he suggested he would sign a bill to fund the government and would get his wall another way.

But today, at a meeting with GOP members of the House, after the Senate passed a funding bill last night, the president again put down an ultimatum: no wall funding, no bill signing to avoid a shutdown.

Will Congress Ban Boycotts of Israel? – American Free Press – Philip Giraldi

December 19, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

On Dec. 6, the House of Representatives passed a continuing resolution appropriations bill that will keep the government funded until Dec. 20. By that date it is anticipated that an omnibus end-of-year bill extending that spending authority for 2019 will be completed, assuming that a deal on funding President Donald Trump’s border wall can be worked out.

No one would be surprised if the final appropriations package that comes out of the process will be ill-considered and full of pork for individual congressmen and districts. One trick used to pass legislation that would otherwise fail is to attach a bill anonymously (no name and no number) to the spending bill, which must be passed in one form or another if the government is to continue to function.

One such attachment that has currently and somewhat mysteriously appeared is reportedly entitled “Consideration of Legislation Making Further Appropriations for 2019.” Bills attached in that fashion will become law without debate or being subjected to any challenge from opponents.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) appears to be gearing up for massive border invasion with new contract to acquire 375 million rounds of tactical rifle ammunition – NaturalNews.com

December 19, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Anyone who doesn’t yet realize the U.S. government is gearing up to defend America against a major land invasion of foreign nationals needs to look at this press release from December 10, 2018: U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Awards Federal Premium a .223 Remington Ammunition Contract.

The press release describes a 5-year, $75 million contract to “provide the organization’s agents and officers with .223 Rem duty and training ammunition.”

For those who aren’t familiar with firearms, .223 Remington ammo is used in AR-15 rifles. It’s not technically identical to 5.56 NATO, but rifles that can fire 5.56 NATO can also fire .223 Remington.

“Nations Are The Wealth Of Mankind”—Alexander Solzhenitsyn. That Includes The Historic American Nation. | Articles | VDARE.com – John Derbyshire

U.S. immigration policy is nested in the broader issue of our time: the struggle of settled Western nations with their distinctive national characters and familiar—familiar, I mean, to the citizens who comprise them—their familiar styles of managing their public affairs, the struggle of these nations to keep their nationhood intact against the ambitions of globalizing elites.

As it happens, there is a keynote quotation on precisely this topic that is particularly apt right now. Here at VDARE.com we have used this quotation, or bits of it, rather often, as it accords precisely with our own inclinations and our mission here. Cousin Peter, my boss here at VDARE.com, used it to rhetorical effect in his 1995 book Alien Nation. I used it in my planned 2016 address to Williams College, the address that college President Adam Falk [Email him] judged so dangerously inflammatory he banned me from his campus before I could deliver it.

What If G-Men Went After the Washington Post as They’re Going After the Enquirer? – Ira Stoll

December 18, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Imagine that a federal prosecutor had gone after The Washington Post Company back in the 1990s on the theory that the reluctance of its magazine, Newsweek, to publish an article about a sex scandal involving Bill Clinton constituted an illegal campaign contribution to the Clinton campaign.

The ensuing outcry and fear that prosecutors would begin substituting their own news judgment for that of editors wouldn’t have been limited to First Amendment absolutists like Nat Hentoff. It would almost certainly have been widely shared. And justifiably so.

As Newsweek itself eventually found out via Matt Drudge, and as the framers of the First Amendment well understood, free-market competition is better regulation of press behavior than any second-guessing by government lawyers threatening criminal prosecution based on creative theories of campaign finance law.

School Contractor in Texas Denied Work Over Pro-Israel Loyalty Oath – Glenn Greenwald

December 17, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

A CHILDREN’S SPEECH PATHOLOGIST who has worked for the last nine years with developmentally disabled, autistic, and speech-impaired elementary school students in Austin, Texas, has been told she can no longer work with the public school district after she refused to sign an oath vowing that she “does not” and “will not” engage in a boycott of Israel or “otherwise tak[e] any action that is intended to inflict economic harm” on that foreign nation. A lawsuit on her behalf was filed early Monday morning in a federal court in the Western District of Texas alleging a violation of her First Amendment right of free speech.

The child language specialist, Bahia Amawi, is a U.S. citizen who received a master’s degree in speech pathology in 1999 and, since then, has specialized in evaluations for young children with language difficulties (see video below). Amawi was born in Austria and has lived in the U.S. for the last 30 years, fluently speaks three languages (English, German, and Arabic), and has four U.S.-born American children of her own.

The war against globalism | Intrepid Report.com – Philip M. Giraldi

December 17, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Belgium has joined the list of countries that are rebelling against their elected leadership. Over the weekend the Belgian government fell over Prime Minister Charles Michel’s trip to Morocco to sign the United Nations Migration Agreement. The agreement made no distinction between legal and illegal migrants and regarded immigration as a positive phenomenon. The Belgian people apparently did not agree. Facebook registered 1,200 Belgians agreeing that the prime minister was a traitor. Some users expressed concern for their children’s futures, noting that Belgian democracy is dead. Others said they would get yellow vests and join the protests.

The unrest witnessed in a number of places is focused on some specific demands but it represents much broader anger. The French yellow vests initially protested against proposed increases in fuel taxes that would have affected working people dependent on transportation disproportionately. But when that demand was met by the government of President Emmanuel Macron, the demonstrations continued and even grew, suggesting that the grievances with the government were far more extensive than the issue of a single new tax. Perhaps not surprisingly, the French government is seeking a scapegoat and is investigating “Russian interference.” The US State Department inevitably agrees, claiming that Kremlin directed websites and social media are “amplifying the conflict.”

Will Genetic Engineering Save the White Race? – The Occidental Observer

December 17, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Globalists have used social engineering to procure power and profits in the Western world. Social engineering can be described as psychological persuasion with rewards and repercussions. It’s a form of manipulation that’s based on deception, and gift wrapped as propaganda. Propaganda always has a target audience. For the globalists, it’s primarily White people.

Oddly enough, these self-identified haters of hate, who love White-shaming, proudly march under their inclusive banner of tolerance. For them, progress means a world with White people at the back of the line. And for some, including the UMass professor, it even means a world without White people.

If you are a white male, you don’t deserve to live. You are a cancer, you’re a disease, white males have never contributed anything positive to the world! They only murder, exploit and oppress non-whites! At least a White woman are having sex with Black men and making mulatto babies. But White men don’t seem attracted to Black women. They’re good for nothing.

How Americans’ most respected institution secretly stole at least $90,000 from each American between 1998 and 2015 | Intrepid Report.com – Eric Zuesse

December 13, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

The US military is the most respected institution by the American people.According to investigations by the inspector general of the US Department of Defense—investigations which were based on inspections of only portions of the department’s financial records, not of all of them, and so the amount is incomplete—that Department had disappeared at least $21 trillion of funds from US taxpayers during the 18-year period 1998-2015. The US population, during that period, was around 300 million people; so, at a bare minimum, approximately $70,000 was being stolen (or otherwise disappeared at the US Defense Department) from each American during that time. However, $10 in 1998 was worth $14.54 in 2015; so, considering inflation, each American was robbed, during that period, of at least around $90,000, by the most respected institution. The average US household or “family” has 2.54 people. So, the average US household lost AT LEAST around $223,000, from thefts (or ‘lost money’) by the US military, during 1998-2015. (This fact has never been published before, because this calculation has never before been done; the loss to individual persons and families hasn’t previously been calculated.)

NJ State Police to launch Nazi-style door-to-door gun magazine confiscation campaign… at gunpoint, of course… NJ declares WAR on its own residents – NaturalNews.com

December 13, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

A New Jersey law that makes it a felony to possess a gun magazine capable of holding over 10 rounds of ammunition is now active. This wildly unconstitutional law instantly criminalizes hundreds of thousands of New Jersey citizens who legally acquired normal capacity firearms magazines — which include 17-round pistol magazines and 30-round rifle magazines — as tools of self-defense against the very same violent criminals that are protected by the Democrats who passed the gun magazine ban.

Now, the New Jersey State Police have told Breitbart News they won’t rule out “house-to-house enforcement” of the new magazine ban, meaning they plan to conduct house-to-house arrests and gun magazine confiscations. These Nazi-style anti-gun operations will, of course, be carried out at gunpoint, further underscoring the entire purpose of the Second Amendment and the need for citizens to arm themselves with 30-round magazines to defend against government tyranny.
