Dr. Kaveh Farrokh, author of the new "Shadows in the Desert: Ancient Persia at War," will be on Mark Dankof's America on the Republic Broadcasting Network tomorrow (Wednesday, May 30th). It is the definitive work in its field, and is replete with wonderful maps and pictures. Dr. Farrokh's appearance covers the last two hours of the broadcast, which will be archived at the Republic Broadcasting Network site for later listeners.
For Biblical students, "Shadows in the Desert" has a tremendous section on the Persia of the 6th century B. C. and the ancient Achaemenid Empire period so important to the Old Testament, including Isaiah, Daniel, Esther, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Farrokh's research subsequently covers the Parthian and Sassanian Empires, the Islamic conquest of Iran and its aftermath.

The US Congress and the White House have been at odds over the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq for months, but brief historical reflection suggests that the only option left for Washington is to link forces with Iran. Starting in the mid-1950s, the US maintained stability in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf by establishing bilateral relationships with Israel, Iran and Saudi Arabia, and preventing any one country from overwhelming another. Even after the Iranian Revolution in 1979, presidents recognized that restoring ties with Tehran could minimize US military costs. George W. Bush, however, disrupted the delicate balance with the invasion of Iraq. Unless the US can convince Iran to play a cooperative role, the chaos in Iraq will spread to neighboring countries.
In this article, William Odom, a former director of the US National Security Agency, contends that a rapprochement with Iran is the key to restoring regional stability as the US withdraws from Iraq. However, the US must follow up on Monday’s meeting with Iran in Baghdad and abandon its current “all sticks” policy for stopping Tehran’s nuclear-weapons program. Iran cannot help but realize that its influence in Iraq faces limits when US troops leave, and Washington must take advantage of many mutual goals to establish a sustainable relationship with Iran and restore stability throughout the Middle East. – YaleGlobal
Hello, my name is Cindy Sheehan and my son Casey Sheehan was killed on April 04, 2004 in Sadr City, Baghdad, Iraq. He was killed when the Republicans still were in control of Congress. Naively, I set off on my tireless campaign calling on Congress to rescind George's authority towage his war of terror while asking him "for what noble cause" did Casey and thousands of other have to die. Now, with Democrats in control of Congress, I have lost my optimistic naiveté and have become cynically pessimistic as I see you all caving into as one Daily Kos poster called: "Mr. 28%"
There is absolutely no sane or defensible reason for you to hand Bloody King George more money to condemn more of our brave, tired, and damaged soldiers and the people of Iraq to more death and carnage. You think giving him more money is politically expedient, but it is a moral abomination and every second the occupation of Iraq endures, you all have more blood on your hands.
To paraphrase the famous quip during the 1992 US Presidential debates, when an unknown William Jefferson Clinton told then-President George Herbert Walker Bush, “It’s the economy, stupid,” the present concern of the current Washington Administration over Darfur in southern Sudan is not, if we were to look closely, genuine concern over genocide against the peoples in that poorest of poor part of a forsaken section of Africa.
No. “It’s the oil, stupid.”
Hereby hangs a tale of cynical dimension appropriate to a Washington Administration that has shown no regard for its own genocide in Iraq, when its control over major oil reserves is involved. What’s at stake in the battle for Darfur? Control over oil, lots and lots of oil.
Has Congress given George Bush a green light to attack Iran?
For he is surely behaving as though it is his call alone. And evidence is mounting that we are on a collision course for war.

Kurt Nimmo of Another Day in the Empire is among those accused of "anti-Semitism" by the Canadian Jewish Congress, B'nai Brith, and the Canadian Human Rights Commission, for failing to endorse the doctrine of Jewish Racial Supremacism and Palestinian Genocide in the Middle East. Nimmo's articles are among 18 deemed "anti-Semitic" that were posted on the Canada-based Peace, Earth, and Justice web site. (editorial addendum posted by Mark Dankof of BATR News) -------------------------
In Canada, the Jewish advocacy group B’nai Brith has been at the forefront of staving off any criticism of Israel, deserved or not. Thus, B’nai Brith has backed a Camosack (colonial designation: Victoria) businessman, Harry Abrams, who lodged a complaint with the CHRC against the Canada-based Peace, Earth and Justice News website.
B’nai Brith Canada calls itself “the action arm of the Jewish community.” It claims to believe in fighting anti-Semitism and “promoting human rights and peace throughout the world.” One wonders about B’nai Brith’s promotion of human rights when it comes to Palestinians. For instance, it opposes the right-of-return for Palestinian refugees saying this would lead to the destruction of the Jewish state. This contradicts B’nai Brith’s statement: “We applaud Israel as a vibrant society that respects the civil, religious and cultural rights of all its citizens.” Given that Arabs are a fifth of Israel’s population, it is disingenuous to declare a respect for all citizens, especially those victims of ethnic cleansing who still live as refugees.
Clearly, B’nai Brith is not interested in human rights for all. It is openly segregationist and only advocating on behalf of Jews. Hence, it attempts to censure facts and views, whether truthful or not, that it considers inflammatory toward public perceptions of Israel.
The CHRC says it has received a complaint against the Prometheus Institute, which runs PEJ News, that alleges it “is discriminating against person or groups of persons by communicating messages on the Internet that are likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt on the basis of national or ethnic origin, contrary to section 13(1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act.”
An investigation is now ongoing into the complaint.
[Chris]Cook’s problem is that one edge of this sword just fell on a web-site he edits, the Peace, Earth and Justice News, “a non-profit, all-volunteer, non-hierarchical media organization” based in Victoria whose mission (as described in its Constitution) is to report on “climate change and other environmental issues, war and peace in the Middle East, Afghanistan and elsewhere, and human rights and other matters of social justice.”
PEJ has been operating since 1996 and is owned by the small (annual budget of a few hundred dollars and all volunteer staff), non-profit Prometheus Institute, British Columbia, where Cook was a senior editor until February this year.
On May 17 PEJ publisher Alan Rycroft received a letter from the Canadian Human Rights Commission, signed by the deputy secretary general Richard Tardiff, claiming that PEJ had violated Canadian law by posting anti-Semitic material, according to a complaint filed with its legal department by Harry Abrams, a Victoria businessman and British Columbia representative for the League for Human Rights of B’nai Brith, Canada, which joins him in the complaint.
It has been a sultry, oppressively humid day on this Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. The overcast character of the south Texas sky seems to be a precursor of violent thunderstorms and threateningly high winds.
The physical conditions in the Alamo City suggestively match the spiritual pallor which seems to enshroud Military City U. S. A. There is a lurking threat of ongoing death and tragedy here, matched only by the reticence of most of the denizens of the American military's leading domestic metropolis to speak of it openly. The silence breaks the sound barrier.
Its grim implications are everywhere evident: there are far fewer Bush-Cheney 2004 and United We Stand bumper stickers on vehicles transversing the construction-riddled major highways. There is a painful irony in Star Spangled Banner-laced store advertisements reminding people that Memorial Day is a special time to remember the sacrifice of the men and women of the Armed Forces of the United States who lie still beneath the ground's green, manicured surface at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. After all, San Antonio seems to be a city in transition. It now seems less an American city, more of a Mexican one. The Communist Chinese now occupy a sector of what was Kelly Air Force Base on the Southside. And the Trans-Texas Project (TTP), part of the globalist schema to enact a North American Union and the subsequent end of the United States as a sovereign nation-state, will come roaring right through San Antonio's famed I-35 corridor from the west coast of Mexico on its way to Austin, Dallas, Kansas City, Duluth, and Canada. Something is clearly wrong.
Violence in Iraq has taken the life of another San Antonian, an aspiring musician who joined the Army to treat the wounded and support his family.
Spc. Marquis Jermaine McCants, 23, was one of two soldiers killed Friday when their unit was attacked with an explosive and small arms fire. McCants, who graduated from O'Connor High School in 2001, had a wife and three children.
“Specialist McCants distinguished himself by providing lifesaving care on several occasions to members of the Red Falcons and the Iraqi people,” Capt. Phillip Smith, rear detachment commander of McCants' battalion, said in a statement.
(Specialist Marquis Jermaine McCants is the nephew of African-American Missouri Synod Lutheran Pastor Elder McCants, who serves Holy Cross Lutheran Church in San Antonio. Pastor McCants is a close colleague and friend of Mark Dankof, BATR Correspondent, Lutheran Pastor, and Broadcaster with the Republic Broadcasting Network.)
James Petras underscores the death grip that the Israeli Lobby has on the political processes of the United States. Grim reading, but much essential data is contained therein.
Video of the Doha Debate held at the prestigious Oxford Union in Britain on May 1, at which two-thirds of the student audience approved a motion claiming that Israel's supporters are stifling Western debate about Israel's actions. Runtime: 46 minutes. Norman Finkelstein and Andrew Cockburn spoke in favor of the motion, and Martin Indyk and David Aaronovitch spoke against.
The CIA has received secret presidential approval to mount a covert "black" operation to destabilize the Iranian government, current and former officials in the intelligence community tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the subject, say President Bush has signed a "nonlethal presidential finding" that puts into motion a CIA plan that reportedly includes a coordinated campaign of propaganda, disinformation and manipulation of Iran's currency and international financial transactions.
Mark Dankof is a broadcaster for the Republic Broadcasting Network. A member of the Taft/Buchanan wing of the Republican Party historically, his radio show and print op-ed productions for BATR's Columnist Guild and the American Free Press warn of the dangers of a takeover of the American Republic by the advocates of globalism, central banking, and World Zionism. He is a severe critic of the Bush Administration's War on Terror, the influence of Jewish Neo-Conservatives on American foreign policy and culture, and the increasing utilization of American military might abroad as a first resort rather than the last. Like Mark Glenn and Michael Collins Piper of the American Free Press, Dankof represents a minority viewpoint within the American Right Wing in advocating an independent, autonomous Palestinian State and the serious curtailment of the domestic influence of the Israeli lobby in the government and news media of the United States.
Dr. Jerome Corsi of WorldNetDaily and Human Events joined Mark Dankof's America on the Republic Broadcasting Network on Wednesday, May 23rd. Dr. Corsi discussed illegal immigration, the North American Union, Giuliani's economic links to Cintra of Spain and the Trans-Texas Highway Project, Mr. Bush's ominous Executive Order of May 9th entitled National Security Presidential Directive 51/Homeland Security Presidential Directive 20, and Dr. Corsi's possible Presidential bid with Howard Phillips's Constitution Party. The interview encompassed the final 2 hours of the broadcast.
Jerome Corsi and Mark Dankof charitably disagreed on one subject: the character of the exchange between Rudolph Giuliani and Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) in the Fox News Republican Presidential Debate. Mark Dankof agreed with the latter that there is a direct connection between American foreign policy and the blowback that resulted in September 11, 2001. Dankof's stance is far more critical of American militarism and interventionism abroad than Dr. Corsi, and looks far more askance at American support of Israel in the Middle East.
One other interesting point emerged from the Corsi/Dankof conversation. Dr. Corsi ruefully admitted that he did vote for George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004. Mark Dankof jettisoned support for Republican Presidential candidates beginning in 1996. In that regard, the erudite Harvard Ph. D. follows the Republic Broadcasting Network host in what may prove to be an interesting new political odyssey for the WorldNetDaily/Human Events columnist. Mark Dankof later affirmed his own belief that an anti-globalist, anti-interventionist domestic and foreign policy was incompatible with contemporary American foreign policy support for Israel and continued disproportionate influence in domestic United States politics and media on the part of the Jewish lobby. Stay tuned.

The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive, signed on May 9, 2007 declares that in the event of a “catastrophic event”, George W. Bush can become what is best described as "a dictator":
"The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government."
This directive, completely unnoticed by the media, and given no scrutiny by Congress, literally gives the White House unprecedented dictatorial power over the government and the country, bypassing the US Congress and obliterating the separation of powers. The directive also placed the Secretary of Homeland Security in charge of domestic “security”.
President Bush has signed an executive order granting extraordinary powers to the office of the president in the event of a declared national emergency, apparently without congressional approval or oversight.
The order was signed May 9 without any announcement, says Jerome R. Corsi in a WND column.
Titled, "National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive," it was issued with the dual designation of NSPD-51, as a National Security Presidential Directive, and HSPD-20, as a Homeland Security Presidential Directive.
Mark Dankof was joined on Thursday, May 17th by Dr. Tomislav (Tom) Sunic, to discuss multiculturalism, American cultural decline, and the oppression of globalism, hedonism, and decadence. Dr. Sunic is the author of the new book, "Homo americanus: Child of the Postmodern Age."

Questions are being raised over Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's policy on terrorism, after a report revealed he has strong ties to two foreign investment consortia working to own or lease U.S. toll roads, including the Trans-Texas Corridor 35, which is identified as part of the I-35 "NAFTA Superhighway."
1. The U.S. support of Saddam Hussein. 2. The U.S. furnishing of weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein and the correlative assistance provided by the U.S. in the use of such weaponry. 3. The Persian Gulf intervention. 4. The intentional destruction of Iraq’s water and sewage facilities, with full knowledge as to what effect such action would have on the long-term health of the Iraqi people. 5. The more than 10 years of brutal sanctions, which contributed to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children from sickness and disease. 6. The deadly no-fly zones, which had not been authorized by either the UN or the U.S. Congress, and whose enforcement entailed the firing of missiles and the dropping of bombs that killed even more Iraqis. 7. U.S. Ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright’s infamous statement to “Sixty Minutes” that reverberated throughout the Middle East that the deaths of half-a-million Iraqi children had been “worth it.” 8. The invasion and occupation of Iraq, which has killed and maimed hundreds of thousands of more Iraqis. 9. The torture and sex abuse of Iraqi men at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere in Iraq, photographs and videos of which are still being kept hidden by U.S. officials because of their potential blowback. 10. The periodic rapes and murders that some U.S. troops have committed against the Iraqi people during the occupation. 11. The arbitrary and indiscriminate searches and seizures without warrants being conducted by U.S. troops. 12. The indefinite detentions without trial of some 20,000 Iraqi men and women in overcrowded prisons.
How can anyone honestly believe that such actions would not engender horrible anger and rage throughout the Middle East and, indeed, throughout the world?
Republican magazines have begun their pimp operations for the GOP’s 2008 presidential candidates.
In a recent issue of National Review, Jennifer Rubin, described as "a freelance writer in Washington, D.C.," pumps up Rudolph Giuliani as "America’s mayor" and "America’s prosecutor."
Giuliani is a media creation. Giuliani was unknown until in search of name recognition he staged a stormtrooper assault on the financial firm Princeton/Newport involving fifty federal marshals outfitted with automatic weapons and bulletproof vests. On another occasion he had two New York investment bankers hauled off their trading floor in handcuffs.
Giuliani’s victims had done nothing and were exonerated. But Giuliani’s media stunts served to turn public sentiment against white-collar defendants.
Giuliani once bragged that by giving negative treatment to his targets, "the media does the job for me." Giuliani certainly had no difficulty manipulating Wall Street Journal reporters James B. Stewart, Daniel Hertzberg and Laurie Cohen or The Predators’ Ball author Connie Bruck. [Michael] Milken, who had done nothing except make a lot of money by proving Wall Street wrong about non-investment grade bonds, was branded the "Cosa Nostra of the securities world."
CONTACT: Bryan Rudnick, (703) 822-4665 SENATE AMNESTY BILL IGNORES CITIZEN DEMAND FOR BORDER SECURITY FIRST
PHOENIX, AZ— The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) are increasing their pressure on Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and other members of the United State Senate who are fast-tracking a cloture vote on an amnesty bill (S. 1348) that ignores the demands of U.S. citizens who seek border security as the priority. This bill was crafted in collaboration with members of the Bush Administration, mimicking last year’s Kennedy-McCain bill in officially creating a roadmap to dangerously deep and wide illegal alien amnesty that President George W. Bush has been aggressively espousing since his State of the Union Address in January.
”For citizens who are concerned with the crisis of border security, now is our time to shine and muster the support of our nation in her own defense,” states Chris Simcox, founder and President of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. “It is high time we demonstrate to the out-of-touch Washington elites, feckless lawmakers and the open borders lobby that Americans will not take lying down the abuse of the rule of law, and the wholesale colonization of our nation by illegal intruders.”
The bill under consideration this week is being co-sponsored by Senators Edward Kennedy (D-MA), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Ken Salazar (D-CO). The Minutemen urge citizens to immediately contact these Senate offices in order to voice their opposition to the amnesty bill as well as to remind all Members of Congress to enforce the funding of a security fence on our nation’s borders that received passage in both the U.S. House and the Senate, and signed into law by President Bush last year.
Unlike the U.S. government, the Minutemen have already been implementing a plan for border security that includes an effective material barrier—by volunteering their time, energy and personal funds in order to build highly effective demonstration security fencing on private ranch land, expensed through private donations obtained from thousands of citizens nationally. To educate the public and force federal government attention to the realities of border security, Minuteman volunteers have taken steps to build this fence along the border utilizing state of the art technology with the fiber optic mesh produced by FOMGuard, USA, also currently in use on U.S. military installations, the DMZ in Korea and the West Bank in Israel, and recently featured in National Geographic magazine.
Simcox continues, “Our elected leaders need to be actively enforcing border security – not aiding and abetting a foreign invasion via amnesty schemes. Voters should inform their elected officials that they are to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Constitution and the oaths of office that go with federal public service—to protect and defend the general welfare.”
The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) is a peaceful, law-abiding and citizen-led initiative organized to stand watch at our borders and in our neighborhoods, report illegal activities to the proper authorities, and aid in the construction of border fencing on private lands using private donations. Additionally, MCDC seeks to urge local and federal officials to enforce our immigration laws in order to keep our families and country safe. MCDC conducts border watch operations that assist the activities of the U.S. Border Patrol, reports employers of illegal aliens, and advocates to keeps tax dollars from being used for illegal alien benefits.
Last week it seemed the federal anti-hate bill S. 1105 was slated by Democratic leaders to move through the Senate very rapidly, even to a vote by Friday. Now the opposite may be true; pro-hate bill supporters may actually want to delay its consideration in the Senate in order to have time to generate massive pressure upon Pres. Bush to approve a "modified" hate bill or renege altogether on his veto threat.
At the forefront of efforts to back Bush down are Jewish activist groups nationwide. Forward.com today says, "Jewish groups are gearing up to fight the president’s expected veto of a hate crimes bill opposed by Christian conservatives… Jewish organizations are playing a leading role in the coalition pushing the bill, with almost all of them - except the Orthodox ones - taking action to promote the passage of the measure… Michael Lieberman, Washington counsel for the Anti-Defamation League and chair of the coalition of 290 organizations supporting the hate crimes bill (says), 'We believe that after the president sees the support this bill has in the law enforcement community and with other groups, he will listen and sign the bill…'"
The Forward article continues: "'People in the Jewish community have a strong memory and good understanding of the impact hate crimes have,' said Hadar Susskind, Washington director of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. The JCPA mobilized tens of local Jewish groups to contact their congressmen on the issue…. In an effort to pressure the president not to use his veto pen to block this legislation, Jewish groups are organizing letters and meetings that aim to stress the importance that the Jewish community sees in passing the bill. Other groups will take similar action: mainstream Christian and other religious organizations, law enforcement agencies and women’s rights advocacy groups… If this mobilization does not manage to convince the White House, supporters of the bill intend to attach the measure to a “must pass” piece of legislation, making it difficult for the president to exercise his veto."
Why is the Jewish community not afraid that Jews might be victimized by the federal hate bill? Simple: since the Jewish ADL sets up hate crimes bureaucracies and controls them once they are established, Jews are virtually never indicted. Although Jewish Talmudic literature defames Christ and Christianity and many Jewish leaders fulfill every criteria of "hate speech," blaming Christianity for anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, Jews in countries with hate laws have little to fear from expressing public "hatred or contempt" of Christianity. On the contrary, since 1971 when ADL created Canada's hate crimes gestapo, outspoken members of the political right and, more recently, Christians, live in dread of Jewish "professional complainers," intent on catching them in a word and hauling them into the hate crimes tribunal courts.
New Tactics
Clearly, pro-hate bill strategy is shifting dramatically. When I called the offices of Sen. Gordon Smith and Sen. Edward Kennedy this morning, gone was any hint of rapid movement toward passage. Instead, they say it may be next week before the Senate considers the bill. In fact, the Forward article says the Senate Judiciary may still hold hearings on S. 1105.
What should be the response of all who love freedom? First, we must call, email, fax, or write our Senators demanding they vote against the hate bill. Tell them that if they vote for it you and your friends will never vote for them again. Send your Senator and their 8-10 legislative aides my powerful flyer Anti-Hate Laws Will Make You a Criminal. (All this information is available here at truthtellers.org.)
Also call the 14 Republican Senators who voted for the hate bill in 2004, the 16 Senators who are undeclared, and the 10 Democrats who are not co-signers. Tell all: "Please do not vote for S. 1105. Hate laws have taken away free speech in Canada and many European countries."
In mid-February I warned that the Jewish community of America had mobilized to pressure members of Congress to support the hate bill. I believe the President's threatened veto has sent shock waves into the forces of Jewish activism as never before - an alarm which could bring almost unbearable pressure upon Bush. Realistically, it is virtual political suicide for him to antagonize the Jewish community. Jewish power in this country and in Congress is so formidable that it is almost a truism that what the Jews want, they get. Christian/conservative resolve and activism must be even greater, empowered not just by human energy and organization but by faith in God and His power to deliver in this time of national crisis.
This week, a Florida jury is set to hear opening arguments in a trial that has come to be known as "Padilla Lite" because it lacks the most serious of charges made when the government spectacularly announced the arrest of Jose Padilla for conspiring with al Qaeda operatives to plant radiological "dirty bombs" and blow up apartment buildings in major US cities.
The Senate Armed Services Committee held a hearing in preparation for an expected showdown with the Bush administration over the Military Commissions Act, which was narrowly passed last year. In his opening remarks, Senator Carl Levin addressed the common theme of hypocrisy.
Is there a First Amendment right to engage in espionage? Dorothy Rabinowitz seems to think so. Describing the actions of Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman, two former top officials of AIPAC, the premier Israel lobbying group, who passed purloined intelligence to Israeli government officials, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist characterized them as “activities that go on every day in Washington, and that are clearly protected under the First Amendment.” If what Rabinowitz says is true—if passing classified information to foreign officials is routine in the nation’s capital—then we are all in big trouble.
Eileen Fleming, Editor and Senior Correspondent for WeAreWideAwake.org, joined Mark Dankof's America on the Republic Broadcasting Network on Thursday, May 10th, for the show's final 2 hours. Ms. Fleming has a particular interest in Palestine, and has conducted a major interview with Mordechai Vanunu, available on her web side in video format.
In an interview Nicolas Sarkozy gave in 2004, he expressed an extraordinary understanding of the plight of the Jewish people for a home: “Should I remind you the visceral attachment of every Jew to Israel, as a second mother homeland? There is nothing outrageous about it. Every Jew carries within him a fear passed down through generations, and he knows that if one day he will not feel safe in his country, there will always be a place that would welcome him. And this is Israel.”
Sarkozy’s sympathy and understanding is most probably a product of his upbringing it is well known that Sarkozy’s mother was born to the Mallah family, one of the oldest Jewish families of Salonika, Greece.
Additionally, many may be surprised to learn that his yet-to-be-revealed family history involves a true and fascinating story of leadership, heroism and survival.
It remains to be seen whether his personal history will affect his foreign policy and France’s role in the Middle East conflict.
“Israel is determined to wage genocide upon innocent civilians . . . We have seen this for the last 50 years to some degree, and it has always been part of Israel’s secret policy. Israel will use [its nuclear weapons] as a means of avoiding any kind of peace treaty with the Arabs as well as imposing her policies of occupation and of neglecting the suffering that she has caused the Palestinians for the last 50 years.”
On a more personal level, he told AFP that he wanted to leave Israel and go someplace “free” and “less brutal.”
He added: “I have seen the ugliness of Jewish society and have had my fill of it. . . . Although I was convicted, the truth is that I have won today, because I have proven once again that Israel is not a democratic country. It is a Jewish apartheid state where only Jews have rights and where non-Jews have no rights. There is no freedom of movement and no freedom of speech.”
Vanunu remarked on the hypocrisy of Israel and America when it comes to other nations possessing weapons of mass destruction. He also spoke of the fait accompli of destroying Iraq, as well as a possible war with Iran.
In addition to speaking out against Israel’s nuclear capability, Vanunu has also stated publicly on several occasions his belief that Israel was involved to varying degrees in terror attacks around the world, including 9-11, the Madrid train bombings and the bombings in London.
The occupation forces in Afghanistan are supporting the drug trade, which brings between 120 and 194 billion dollars of revenues to organized crime, intelligence agencies and Western financial institutions. The proceeds of this lucrative multibllion dollar contraband are deposited in Western banks. Almost the totality of revenues accrue to corporate interests and criminal syndicates outside Afghanistan.
The Golden Crescent drug trade, launched by the CIA in the early 1980s, continues to be protected by US intelligence, in liason with NATO occupation forces and the British military. In recent developments, British occupation forces have promoted opium cultivation through paid radio advertisements.
Forty eight blood soaked months later, what exactly has been accomplished?
* Possibly as many as one million Iraqi dead, four million fled or displaced internally. The largest exodus since the establisment of the State of Israel in 1948.
* The erasing of the history, monuments, archeological sites of the Cradle of Civilisation.
* The kidnapping and lynching of the President and members of the legitimate government.
* The slaughter of the President's sons and grandson.
* One hundred journalists and thirty seven support workers killed. A figure in order of magnitude higher than any war zone on earth (shoot the messengers of this illegal disaster?) It seemed to be policy from day one, literally.
* Over three hundred academics assassinated and thousands fled. The education of the next generation snatched from Iraq's youth, in the country that brought near every academic subject to the world.
* Overflowing morgues.
* Sectarian gangs roaming hospitals and pulling patients from beds and taking them to their death.
* Over two thousand physicians killed, two hundred and fifty kidnapped and eighteen thousand fled.
* Palestinians who have lived in Iraq for generations, killed, threatened and fleeing again to a no man's land unsafe in Iraq, unable to cross borders.
* Sectarian strife, militias, introduced with the invasion, between peoples who had lived together for a thousand years.
* Ongoing suicide bombings in a country where they were unheard of.
* Rigged elections, the results achieved by threats, including death, bribery, threat of ration card confiscation.

* The ghetto walls, razor wire, curfews, road blocks in Mansur's 'Round City' on the Tigris, Baghdad - and across the country.
* The soldiers that sell unthinkable photographs of the dead, maimed, tortured to porn sites in exchange for drooling over the depraved.
* Taking a secular state and attempting to turn it into a fundamentalist theocrocy.
* Committing Nuremberg's 'supreme crime', a war of aggression, based on a pack of lies.
* Demands for impeachment increasing by the day.
* The destruction of America and Britain's image for generations to come - and the inability of their citizens to feel safe anywhere, also for generations.
* A death toll heading towards four thousand dead US troops (admitted to) and thousands horrifically injured.
* A trillion$ plus debt and predictions of the collapse of the dollar.
* Madrid, London, Bali, Sharm El Sheikh .... [Who is behind these terror attacks?]
* Near universal loathing.

Welcome to all foreign readers. Luogocomune is a news commentary site (all in Italian, thus far) featuring a large, separate section on 9/11. In a way, the whole website revolves around the idea that unless that paramount, unacceptable lie called "the 9/11 terrorist attacks" is removed and put into right perspective, the downward spiral towards this new "dark age" of humanity will never stop.
To us "9/11 victims" are not only the 3,000 people that perished on that day, but also some 650,000 civilians killed in Iraq since the invasion began, 100,000 plus Afghans who've met the same fate in their country, more than 3,000 US soldiers sent by "Dick & Rummy" to die under false pretense, and --sadly but truly -- the ever increasing number of first responders who were knowingly sent to their death by an administration that could be defined "criminal" for this one action alone.

Pastor John Hagee, the firebrand evangelical Christian minister from San Antonio, Texas, had thousands of pro-Israel activists standing, clapping and chanting at this year’s annual convention of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Hagee’s virtuoso performance at the conference in March underscored his emergence as a linchpin in the growing political alliance between Jewish and evangelical pro-Israel activists. Less well known is that Hagee, who in February 2006 founded the first Christian pro-Israel lobbying group — Christians United for Israel — is working to extend his influence beyond power centers in Washington, to Jewish and evangelical communities across the country.
