Congressman, Professor Join In Opposition To Patriot Act
Republican US Representative Butch Otter and a progressive University of Idaho law professor have co-written a law article critical of the Patriot Act.
Otter's co-author is professor Elizabeth Brandt. She's a longtime American Civil Liberties Union activist who served on the organization's national board for a decade.
Comments:
Of course one must labor under the dream that congress passes "laws" operable upon the People in the first place, in order for this to resemble 'good news.' Every "federal law" is mere DC municiple code, absent venue/jurisdiction/authority upon me save that old standby wielded by "leadership" throughout history; violence or the threat thereof. The latter works for most. Thankfully, neither worked for Christ.
