RAY McGOVERN: Sic Transit Gloria Mueller – Consortiumnews

Friday’s surprising report that Robert Mueller had successfully sought an extra week to prepare for his House testimony on Russiagate (now set for July 24) must have come as scary news to those of his fans who can put two and two together. Over the past few weeks, it has become clearer that each of the two frayed findings of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election has now come apart at the seams.

Saturday’s New York Times reports that “the Democrats said they chose to delay at the request of Mr. Mueller” after a day of negotiations, “as both Democrats and Republicans were deep in preparations for his testimony” earlier scheduled for July 17. The Washington Post, on the other hand, chose not to say who asked for the delay. Rather, it explained the abrupt change in timing with a misleading articleentitled, “Mueller, House panels strike deal to delay hearing until July 24, giving lawmakers more time to question him.”

Trump Fuels a Tribal War in Nancy’s House – Patrick J. Buchanan – Official Website

President Donald Trump’s playground taunt Sunday that “the Squad” of four new radical liberal House Democrats, all women of color, should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came,” dominated Monday morning’s headlines.

Yet those headlines smothered the deeper story.

The Democrats are today using language to describe their own leaders that is similar to the language of the 1960s radicals who denounced Democratic segregationist governors like Ross Barnett and George Wallace.

Consider what the four women have been saying.

A Lutheran Pastor Mark Dankof Explains – Russia Is a Beacon of Promise for a Christian Future

As an American who has witnessed the metastasizing of 5th stage cancer in the Empire since the 1960s, I must freely admit that the three holidays in this country which produce the most sadness and profound depression for me at this stage of my life are the 4th of July, Veterans’ Day, and Memorial Day.

Donald Jeffries covers the bases on many of my feelings today at Lew Rockwell in an essay entitled Our Plastic Patriotism. Suffice it to say that cardboard patriots in Star-Spangled Attire mouthing platitudes about “freedom” not only fail to understand that Washington, Adams, and Jefferson would not even recognize what this country has become internationally or domestically, but proceed to a mindless and terrifying embrace of the notion that utilizing the American military as a Regime Change Janissary force for Israel, the banks, and the multinational oil, gas, and mineral consortiums is a laudable thing.

Starting a war of aggression with Russia utilizing NATO would be just terrific by these folks.

Strong Dollar is good for Small Businesses

July 16, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

The Trump economy has provided a much needed optimism. While confidence for the future has grown over the meager performance under Obama, the fabric of prosperity has not yet achieved universal reach. Remember that an America First economy thrives on a strong dollar. So it is unfortunate that the establishment is pushing President Trump into favoring an internationalist trading system that hinders a domestic small business economy. The corporatists on Wall Street hate independent business.

The UN Is Facilitating Chinese Dominance Over the Planet | The Common Sense Show – Dave Hodges

Please allow me to remind everyone of the Kigali Principles which Obama signed us onto right before he left office. It is a 29 nation agreement in which the United Nations can direct all 29 nations to intervene in the internal affairs of a nation, by force is needed, in order to “restore order”. Whose order? The New World Order. And people wonder why I am concerned about a Red Dawn invasion.

Increased funding for the United Nations can also have far-reaching benefits for the Beijing leadership. It strengthens its influence on the Administrative and Budgetary Committees. He in turn controls the budget of the Human Rights Committee – which the Chinese want to see cut. The CP wants to explain the sovereignty of states as the most important principle of international exchange. In addition, Chinese leaders are pushing for the definition of human rights to be diverted from individual freedom to the right to economic participation. In a commentary of the state news agency “Xinhua” this becomes clear: The definition of human rights are as different as cultures in which they are embedded. The Chinese concept includes components such as “development is a human right”, “combating poverty helps to enforce rights” and “human rights need cooperation”. The Chinese government has also campaigned within the United Nations. The Chinese approach is now reflected in several resolutions of the UN Security Council, it said in the “Xinhua” article on. For example, two years ago, the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) introduced the concept of human rights through development into the international human rights system. Then the tone becomes sharper: even though the West-defined definition played an important role in the past, it does not make it superior. The West has shown itself “intolerant” to the Chinese interpretation.
