Facing China’s irresistible rise all across the chessboard, and under relentless US pressure, the not exactly democratic EU leadership is on a backbreaking exercise to position itself between a geopolitical/geoeconomic rock and a hard place.

The 28-member EU holds a crucial meeting next week in Brussels where it may adopt a 10-point action plan detailing, in a thesis, the terms of an equitable economic relationship with China going forward.

This will happen as Chinese President Xi Jinping visits Italy and then France – ahead of the very important, annual China-EU summit in Brussels on April 9, to be co-chaired by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

Trump’s CIA now unbound and back to its traditional hijinks | Intrepid Report.com – Wayne Madsen

Under the directorship of torture and black site maven Gina Haspel, Donald Trump’s Central Intelligence Agency has returned to its traditional roots of conducting “black bag” operations and disrupting electrical grids through cyber-attacks.

The Venezuelan government has accused the Trump administration of giving the green light for a series of crippling power failures in Venezuela, which affected 22 of Venezuela’s 23 states, including the capital of Caracas. The long-duration power failures were cited by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a reason for the US withdrawing its diplomats from Caracas. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that an international commission assisted by specialists from Russia, China, Iran, and the United Nations would help his country analyze the sources of the Venezuelan electrical grid cyber-attack. Initial cyber-forensics by Venezuela traced some of the cyber warfare being waged against Venezuela to nodes in Houston and Chicago.

What was it that you thought you knew? – John Kaminski

When many of our leaders are actively working toward open borders and the end of the American republic, where does your faith in your country take you now? The decision of most poor people is to go along with the crowd and accept whatever benefits are offered. This choice totally ignores the long range planning of working and saving and building a future. Such a healthy path does not seem possible to most people anymore, because all the structures aimed at social satisfaction seem like such a shambles now.

The new American dynamic brought to us by our liberal Democratic Party simpletons is to get as much as you can as fast as you can by any means possible that will at least keep you out of jail if you get caught. But when the President’s lawyer gets busted for lying and swindling, you know this irresponsible untrustworthy discourse has reached the highest levels in our country. More importantly, as kids watch this behavior they think that this is the way life is supposed to be.

Former DIA Officer Who Spied for China Hated Trump – Bill Gertz

March 20, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

A former Defense Intelligence Agency officer who spied for China worked secretly as a Beijing agent for five years and revealed in an intercepted phone call he was motivated in part by hatred for President Trump.

Ron Rockwell Hansen, a DIA operations officer until 2006, was arrested June 5 and pleaded guilty on Friday in Utah to attempting to sell national defense secrets to China. He faces 15 years in prison under a plea deal. Sentencing is set for Sept. 24.

Court documents in the case reveal Hansen was motivated by both money and an affinity for China. In seeking to recruit a DIA coworker as a fellow Chinese spy, he voiced fears that Trump would start a war and said that was a reason to cooperate secretly with several Chinese intelligence agencies or branches in providing information and trying to penetrate U.S. defense and intelligence agencies to obtain secrets.

Massive Coalition Backs Trump’s Climate Science Committee – Alex Newman

A massive coalition of environmental organizations, activists, and think-tank leaders signed a letter to President Donald Trump supporting the proposed Presidential Commission on Climate Security (PCCS), as well as the work of Trump climate and national security adviser Dr. William Happer of Princeton University. The campaign, which comes amid fierce establishment resistance to re-examining government “climate science,” also backs an independent scientific review of the increasingly dubious claims made in federal climate reports. Analysts say this battle will be crucial in establishing the credibility of government climate science — or the lack thereof.

The coalition letter, signed by almost 40 leading policy organizations and well over 100 prominent leaders, argues that an independent review of federal global-warming reports is “long overdue.” “Serious problems and shortcomings have been raised repeatedly in the past by highly-qualified scientists only to be ignored or dismissed by the federal agencies in charge of producing the reports,” the leaders and organizations explained. Indeed, in multiple cases, federal bureaucracies have even been accused of fraudulently manipulating data and findings to support their politically backed conclusions.
