Perceptions of Jewish History Drive the War of the Hostile Elite Against the Trump Presidency – The Occidental Observer – Kevin MacDonald

Trump’s election was mightily opposed by the entire Jewish intellectual spectrum, from far left to neoconservative right fundamentally because of his comments and proposed policies on diversity issues. For left-leaning Jews (the great majority), this is no surprise, but it was also a mainstay of the neocon #NeverTrump movement and their “angst about a fascist America.”

A commitment to immigration and ethnic, religious, and gender diversity has been a bedrock of Jewish political and intellectual activism for decades. But right from the beginning, Trump’s comments and proposed policies were potent triggers for anyone with such commitments, beginning with his comments on illegal immigrant criminals and his proposed immigration policy—which Ann Coulter called “the greatest document since the Magna Carta,” and which included cuts in legal immigration and ending birthright citizenship.

Trump was quickly (and accurately) branded as a populist in the media, and comparisons with Hitler were rife. As I noted previously,

At that point, when you find yourself in the government’s crosshairs, it will not matter whether your skin is black or yellow or brown or white; it will not matter whether you’re an immigrant or a citizen; it will not matter whether you’re rich or poor; it will not matter whether you’re Republican or Democrat; and it certainly won’t matter who you voted for in the last presidential election.

At that point—at the point you find yourself subjected to dehumanizing, demoralizing, thuggish behavior by government bureaucrats who are hyped up on the power of their badges and empowered to detain, search, interrogate, threaten and generally harass anyone they see fit—remember you were warned.

Take Roger Stone, one of President Trump’s longtime supporters, for example.

Venezuela needs help not foreign meddling | Intrepid Report.com – Linda S. Heard

It is undeniable that Maduro has made an awful hash of his job, but he still retains the loyalty of military chiefs and a substantial chunk of the voting public. Moreover, among those interviewed who wish him gone are people who say they would rather give him another chance than open the door to ‘gringos’ and the potential of a civil war or invasion. Right now there are two competing presidents, but only one commands the military and security forces.

Once again a geopolitical power game is underway couched in a humanitarian pretext and in just about every such case the people end up the greatest losers. Nicolas Maduro would be wise to call for a new ballot, one that is legitimised by international observers; not because he feels threatened by the usual suspects, but because doing so would be a first step towards healing his divided nation.

Mexico is starting to look like Venezuela | The Daily Bell – Simon Black

Oil thieves have been drilling holes in Mexico’s extensive network of oil and gas piplelines across the country to steal fuel and sell it on the black market.

State-owned oil company PEMEX found more than 12,500 illegal holes in the pipelines last year.

And these oil thieves went as far as building a 2-mile long pipe themselves to divert oil directly from the refineries.

Selling oil on the secondary market is a highly lucrative business in Mexico. And some farmers who take up a job as lookouts for the thieves can earn more than five times their regular income doing so.

Federal grand juries in New York and Washington state have indicted Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies and its subsidiaries for stealing robotics secrets from T-Mobile, and illegally doing business with Iran, Trump administration officials announced Monday.

A grand jury in New York charged that Huawei Technologies operated a front company in Iran, Skycom Tech Co., that illegally hid financial transactions involving tens of millions of dollars with Iran in a bid to avoid U.S. sanctions laws aimed at curbing financial dealings by the Islamist regime in Tehran.
