How Americans’ most respected institution secretly stole at least $90,000 from each American between 1998 and 2015 | Intrepid Report.com – Eric Zuesse

The US military is the most respected institution by the American people.According to investigations by the inspector general of the US Department of Defense—investigations which were based on inspections of only portions of the department’s financial records, not of all of them, and so the amount is incomplete—that Department had disappeared at least $21 trillion of funds from US taxpayers during the 18-year period 1998-2015. The US population, during that period, was around 300 million people; so, at a bare minimum, approximately $70,000 was being stolen (or otherwise disappeared at the US Defense Department) from each American during that time. However, $10 in 1998 was worth $14.54 in 2015; so, considering inflation, each American was robbed, during that period, of at least around $90,000, by the most respected institution. The average US household or “family” has 2.54 people. So, the average US household lost AT LEAST around $223,000, from thefts (or ‘lost money’) by the US military, during 1998-2015. (This fact has never been published before, because this calculation has never before been done; the loss to individual persons and families hasn’t previously been calculated.)

News With Views | Main Stream Media Corruption: Ugly Slant Of The Truth – Frosty Wooldridge

National media, especially broadcast media, were heavily regulated until:

  • The 1996 Telecommunications Act removed limits on how many news agencies one company owns.  Just 6 entities—before deregulation, 52—now own 90 percent of media. Wire services once distributed news from thousands of independent sources, guaranteeing diverse coverage.  Now, the few independently owned papers—like the JOURNAL—are at the mercy of national news from that narrow base.
  • Before 1996, a company could only own media.  Now, conflict-of-interest protections are gone.  We’re told coffee is healthful, but is that because the broadcaster also owns coffee companies?  If media urge war, do their owners also manufacture weapons?
  • The Federal Communications Commission’s Fairness Doctrine once required broadcasters to be fair, inclusive and unbiased.  One T.V. station lost its license for presenting only pro-segregation stories.  But, the Fairness Doctrine was abolished in 1987, and now such one-sided reporting—even on critical, complicated, hot-button topics like immigration—is universal, including on tax-supported PBS. and NPR., where unbiased journalism should be sacrosanct, when in fact, they stand among the worst.  That’s particularly insulting considering their covenant as non-profit, “public broadcast.”

A World of Multiple Detonators of Global Wars – James Petras

December 13, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

We face a world of multiple wars some leading to direct global conflagrations and others that begin as regional conflicts but quickly spread to big power confrontations.

We will proceed to identify ‘great power’ confrontations and then proceed to discuss the stages of ‘proxy’ wars with world war consequences.

In our times the US is the principal power in search of world domination through force and violence. Washington has targeted :top level targets, namely China, Russia, Iran; secondary objectives Afghanistan, North and Central Africa, Caucuses and Latin America.

NJ State Police to launch Nazi-style door-to-door gun magazine confiscation campaign… at gunpoint, of course… NJ declares WAR on its own residents – NaturalNews.com

A New Jersey law that makes it a felony to possess a gun magazine capable of holding over 10 rounds of ammunition is now active. This wildly unconstitutional law instantly criminalizes hundreds of thousands of New Jersey citizens who legally acquired normal capacity firearms magazines — which include 17-round pistol magazines and 30-round rifle magazines — as tools of self-defense against the very same violent criminals that are protected by the Democrats who passed the gun magazine ban.

Now, the New Jersey State Police have told Breitbart News they won’t rule out “house-to-house enforcement” of the new magazine ban, meaning they plan to conduct house-to-house arrests and gun magazine confiscations. These Nazi-style anti-gun operations will, of course, be carried out at gunpoint, further underscoring the entire purpose of the Second Amendment and the need for citizens to arm themselves with 30-round magazines to defend against government tyranny.

Google CEO Questioned by Congress on China Censorship – Ryan Gallagher

December 13, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

GOOGLE CEO SUNDAR PICHAI came under fire from lawmakers on Tuesday over the company’s secretive plan to launch a censored search engine in China.

During a hearing held by the House Judiciary Committee, Pichai faced sustained questions over the China plan, known as Dragonfly, which would blacklist broad categories of information about democracy, human rights, and peaceful protest.

The hearing began with an opening statement from Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who said launching a censored search engine in China would “strengthen China’s system of surveillance and repression.” McCarthy questioned whether it was the role of American companies to be “instruments of freedom or instruments of control.”
